My vacations
I grew up taking family vacations. When I was just barely walking my family, cousins and all went to Lake Tahoe from southern California for a camping and waterskiing trip. None of my vacations resembled the series of Chevy Chase movies called VACATION. My entire family went back to Tahoe again when I was 7 years old. I learned to water ski that time. It was not enjoyable for me though because when I fell down noone had told me to let go of the rope, so water went in my mouth until my Grandfather noticed I had fallen and stopped the boat.
My family liked to go to Mexico alot, so I did that a number of times. We stayed on the beach, rode horseback and ate lobster. It was fun.
Here is a picture of my mom and I when I was 10 on one of our vacations to Mexico.

With my Dad, stepmom, and stepsisters I took a trip up the coast of California. We went to San Francisco's China Town, saw Hearst Castle, went to Alcatraz island, Moneterrey Bay, Carmel beach, Yosemite and many other cool places.
Here are some pictures from that trip.

A Trip around the United States
We went around the United States when I was 15. I took one of my friends with me on that trip. We saw everything very quickly as we went from one West Coast to the East Coast as far as Atlantic City, New Jersey anc back to the West Coast. We went to Washington D.C. where we saw Lincoln's Memorial, The Washington Monument, Ford's Theatre, John F. Kennedy's grave, The Vietnam Wall and many other places.
Here are some pictures from that trip.

Kauai
In 2007 my husband and went to Kauai for 10 days as a honeymoon trip. We went snorkeling, took a boat to Na Pali Coastline, saw Waimea Canyon which looks similar to the Grand Canyon which I have also been to.
Here are some pictures from Kauai

Hiking through Na Pali Coast

These are hula dancers in a great show we saw after a luau.

Here is the boat we took to Na Pali Coast. It was a two hour bumpy ride and there were 10 other people. We sat on the sides of the boat and hung on tight as the boat sped along.

This is a blow hole where the water blows out like you see in this picture. It is a very cool thing to go see.

This is a place called Hidden Beach. As you can see the water there is so clear you can see the bottom.

This is a sea cave we stopped by on our way to Na Pali Coast or should I say our Captain stopped by. He actually took us inside of it.

My stepfather woke me up at 5 in the morning to tell us to hurry and look at the St. Louis arch as we drove by it. I guess he did not want to stop there.

I have been blessed enough to have seen a great deal of our country. I am always amazed by the beauty of nature here, which man has not yet been able to destroy. The California coast is definitely one of my favorites though. Especially around the Santa Barbara / Santa Cruz areas.

I have always loved going to Lake Tahoe. Have been there several times. I also enjoyed the one time I traveled to see the Grand Canyon. That, and most of the trip actually, was an artists surreal experience. I recall the painted desert was the most intoxicating of all. I would stand and begin to feel as if I was IN an animated movie. (remember Roger Rabbit? a bit like that but more serene and beautiful).
This is an awesome lens! I gave it 5* and FAV
I just adore your lovely lenses and the beauty that you see in every precious thing. :D
Thank You!!!
