One place to keep all my links to my online sites, blogs, profiles & bios.

I was sitting here trying to figure out a way to collect & list all of my personal profiles, bios, websites, & blogs. I thought the best way is to make a lens and list them. This way it is an easy place for me and anyone else who might be interested to find all the places I am located online.

Gees, if I were to die someone in my family may need this information to find them all to keep them updated. After all most of my efforts online are intertwined with Adsense & various affiliates. I feel my efforts online are my legacy. :-) Now I will just have to print a copy of this lens and write down each of my passwords and email I used to assess each one and store it with my other "Important Documents".

This is an easy way for me to keep track. I use the Squidoo bookmarket add-on which helps me tremendously. It makes it much easier and quicker to organize the links with the click of a button and then select which link list you want your link to go to. This feature only works with the "Link List" module.

This one add-on feature is priceless!! Wherever you are on the web, whenever you land on a site you like, you can add the link to one of your lenses. Just pull down your saved bookmarks or favorites and click on the Squidoo Bookmarklet. Presto! You'll be asked which lens you want to add that URL to, and specifically which link list module within that lens. All without redirecting you from the page you were on. This is mobility at its finest. Never spend time on a link list module again!

Tip: After downloading the bookmarklet I some how was able to move the "Squidoo This!" thingy into my tool bar for easy access. I do not remember at the moment how I did it. It is much quicker than using the pull down menu on the favorites.

I hope this lens helps others with a way to organize their online "stuff".

:-)

What if this type of lens catches on...

Hmmm....

I think I would like this type of lens to be called a . . .

profileography or webography

keeping in the vein of the famous lensography categorization here on Squidoo.

What term do you like better for this type of lens?

Profileography

NewsBlaze says:

proflog, profileog, profilog

Daily News says:

Profileography isn't as easy to say, but that's what it is. You could call it a red onion, but that wouldn't make any sense, and as confusing as webography. If you have to explain what something is, then it probably has the wrong name.

Intuitive says:

Profilicious?

RickyRobi says:

Webography would be more of a place to keep websites you like. Profileogrophy is more to the point of a place to keep your profiles.

says:

Profileography because you are keeping track of all your profiles (I expect you keep your logins and passwords on a non-web spreadsheet of course).
Webography would be more appropriate for a list of your favorite sites.

Vic_Goodman says:

I started to say that I agree that webography sounds better than profileography but profileography is more to the point of what this type of lens is all about. However the more think about it the more I like the sounds of profileography.

Webography

FunGifts4All says:

I like webography. It rolls of the tongue better.

clouda9 says:

I like Webography, manly because it is easier to say ;)

NaturalMommys says:

it does flow Webography all the way!

PaulaFarris says:

Webography flows better. The other name is harder to say.

incomenetwork says:

Definitely webography gets my vote!

luvmyludwig says:

100%

purpleladymom says:

Webography is it for me!

WindyWinters says:

I like the sound of Webography!

Michey says:

Webography sound better to me

Joan4 says:

Webography just seems more descriptive to me

Tagfoot Site Sharing & make money too
Basically you share bookmarks. Tagfoot is a no-nonsense social bookmarking, wishlisting, and tagging hangout where we find it, tag it, rate it, share it and talk about it. But really, tagfoot is different things to different people. To some, tagfoot is a way to amass a giant music library. To others, tagfoot represents the ultimate research tool in providing a means to store, organize, and access web site bookmarks from any computer. To others, a great way to keep track of gift ideas. And, yet to others, a way to promote their own self interest in the form of backlinks to their blogs or product pages. In the end, what tagfoot is, is entirely up to you. All tagfoot content is contributed and controlled by the tagfoot user community.
