My Most Recent Addition...

My most recent addition is a police car cake! This was made for a friend of mine whose son was having a birthday. I think it turned out pretty cute despite the fact that I really had no plan going into it. I just kind-of "winged it" on this one.
Happy birthday Jacob!

Police Car Cake

This was a spice cake with buttercream frosting.

Wedding Cake

I got to make a wedding cake!! I actually made 2 cakes for this wedding. One is pictured here. The Bride and Groom's cake. I also made a coordinating double layered half sheet cake for the guests (pictured below). This was so FUN!

This is a close-up of the top of the wedding cake!!

Diaper Cake

This was a nice change from the messy business of cake decorating. This was cute and functional. I made this by rolling up 48 size 2 diapers and bundling them together and tying them with pretty ribbon. The monkey decorating the top is a teething ring!

Baby Shower Cake

King of the Jungle!!!

My most recent cake was for my daughter's teacher's baby shower. The cake was based on the theme of the party which was "King of the Jungle". The color scheme and decorations on the cake match those on the napkins, invites etc... This was a fun one to make.

My Son's 5th Birthday!

He had a science party.

We decided to do a volcano (my husband's idea) instead of trying to draw a beaker or something "sciency" on the cake. This turned out very cute. We put a small cup inside the opening at the top and added some dry ice and water so it would "smoke".

Another Diaper Cake!!

This one was an "order" from a friend for her sister-in-law's baby shower.

My Daughter's 7th Birthday!

She had a Princess Tea Party.

This one turned out pretty. It is decorated with fondant flowers.

My Son's 4th Birthday Cake.

Pirate party! Arrgh!

This cake was a blast to make! Gold wrapped Hershey's bars, Whoppers (cannon balls) and other candies made for great "loot". The cannons and railing were made of Pirouette cookies. These pirates I found were just the right size for this ship too!

Fancy Diaper Ckae

This is a diaper cake that I made for a friend of my Mom. I went over the top with this one! In addition to tons of diapers, there are bibs, spoons, diaper cream, shampoo, teething ring and the cute booties!

Bubble Cake

My daughter had a bubble party for her 5th birthday. It was really fun. I made this cake. The picture isn't the best and doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea...

Noah's First Birthday

We did a car and truck theme for his first birthday. I made this cake with a road on it and lots of cars and trucks. There's a digger and I dug a hole in the cake and filled it with finely chopped almonds (dirt) to make it look like it was really digging. This is an awful picture, but it's better than nothing!!

Say Hi!!!

Just love this lens! I have seen a diaper cake just lately at a baby shower I attended. Really cute and a great gift! I knit so my gift was homemade also. The wedding cake was also super! 5*s and an invitation to put your photo lens link in my 'Staycation' lens. I'll lensroll this lens to it so it'll be easy for you. I will feature your photo lens there. 5*s

Great cakes! I`ve been working with fondant lately and it`s a lot of fun. I made a pirate ship cake for my son but didn`t have any fancy candies, so I just used bronze food paint to create a chest full of fondant gold. :D
