But what an important job: getting commuters off to work, making sure bankers are properly caffeinated, and giving college students a convenient place to crank out those last-minute term papers.

Instead of handling inventory, you can sell awesome designs from other designers, and earn money on it.
Think like a newbie
When you're designing your lens, think like someone who has never been to your shop. Go out of your way to help them find it. Directions, a link to a map, and even a photo of your store front are great ways to help out-of-towners find you, especially if you're tucked in a strip mall or off the beaten path.

Don't stop at just the basics. For more fun, add more details.
- Mini bios for the baristas.
- A printer-friendly menu (if you have it saved on your own site) or an abbreviated menu.
- A list of barista and customer favorites.
Try a Twitter Storm
