Kids art is one of my Favorite things!

Kids Art is my favorite.  They create their masterpieces in the moment.

The picture to the left was drawn by a 5 yr. old little girl.  She loves her ponies and that love is expressed in her art.

Room to Read has established operations in seven countries in Asia and Africa - Nepal, Cambodia, India, Laos, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and South Africa. Each of these countries faces a desperate lack of resources to educate their own children.

If you are looking for an easy and non-specific drawing book about animals, this is the one. It has a wide range of them, from birds to insects, from wild felines to cute pets and farm animals. I would say this book is a great starting point for anyone who is interested in drawing but doesn't know any techniques or doesn't feel capable - yet - of drawing animals instantly.

Grama, what would you like me to draw for you?

..my 6 yr old granddaughter asked.

"A toucan would be nice", I said.

"OK" she answered.

Her toucan art is now proudly on display in my home.

More than 100 million children in the developing world are not currently enrolled in primary school. Many millions more will never have the opportunity to attend secondary school. (1)

Since our founder John Wood delivered the first yak-load of books to a Nepalese school in 1999, Room to Read has established operations in seven countries in Asia and Africa - Nepal, Cambodia, India, Laos, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and South Africa. Each of these countries faces a desperate lack of resources to educate their own children. Yet, each country also provides its own unique challenges and opportunities. For this reason, Room to Read hires local teams led by local country directors to partner with communities in need. Through our 'Challenge Grant' model, these communities co-invest in the projects with us, fostering community empowerment and strengthening the long-term sustainability of each project.

Come learn about these countries and how we are addressing their educational needs.
