Learning how to make a better lens 

I've learned a lot from these people on how to improve your lens

I've done some research into other lens and done some reading about how to go about this and now I'll try to put it to use.

I found fefe's lens about getting noticed to be very helpful. And I read bdkz's lens about Tips From A Giant Squid Organzier both these len's have been extremely helpful too.

At least I'm not just banging my head against a wall now. ;)

My newest favorite 2 gods or genius or whatever you want to call them is one thefluffanutta, this guy's a genius!! :) I wouldn't have even known there was a chat room here if it wasn't for following him on twitter. And the second one is Captain Squid These two guys are awesome, follow them, favorite them, read their articles and learn from them!

trying to decide what to put here

When I first started this kind of stuff, it was simply to make some extra money and to pretty much see if I could do it. Now tho, I'm doing it to pay for the dentist.

Altho Canada has great health coverage, it doesn't extend to the dentist or the optometrist. That has to come out of pocket unless you have coverage thru your job, which I don't. So here I sit, trying to decide what would be interesting enough to put in this lens to make people want to read it.




I live in Niagara Falls Ontario and I have 2 grown daughters, which I raised on my own. As a matter of fact my youngest daughter turns 21 next week and my older one will be 25 in October. Being born in March, I am a pisces so remember we are a sensitive lot.

So recently I've had my computer die on me, now I have to use my daughter's. Which means, I've lost everything, no I made the fatale mistake you should never never make with a computer :( I didn't back anything up!!!!!!! So I have to start from scratch, I even lost all my favorites!! :( And THAT is what sucks the most!

I've always had Hewlett Packard computers but I think I might need to change that since I'm in need of a new computer every 2 years or so. So what's everyone's opinion on computers? Stick with HP? Go with Acer? Acer is what my daughter has and it seems to have lasted longer then any of mine has. Sony? Toshiba? Apple?

can't decide, laptop or desktop

I like the ease of being able to take a laptop with me with wherever I want to go but then again there's a few downfalls to it as well such as the fan is on the bottom and to me doesn't keep it cool enough but then a desktop you can't take anywhere with you, not easily that is ;)

My oldest daughter has always liked to doodle ever since she was little, well I always thought of it as doodling. And it was cute stuff too. Now that she's older, she likes to doodles, it's her way of stress relief. So I took some of her doodlings and tried something with it.

You've got movies, music, household gadgets, thingmajigs, whattchamacallits, books, clothing for adults and kids etc etc all in one place. This I think might be a good place to show you the type of music, movies, books, jewellery or whatever a person likes.

Personally I love the 18th century stuff. One of my fav writers is Victoria Holt. One of my favorite singers is Dean Martin, tied with Rod Stewart.

And of course there's always jewelry, what woman doesn't like a nice piece of jewelry. :)

The Magic Bullet

When you're changing bad habits for good ones, you have to have the tools to go along with it and one of tools that'll help is the Magic Bullet.

I've recently did a "life overhaul" for myself and have changed to eating healthy. The Bullet makes my protein shakes or smoothies to a perfection with ease and the clean up is alot shorter too. And since I don't have a lot of counter space it also doesn't clutter up everything. Usually in the mornings I don't have a lot of time to be lugging out a big bulky blender and then trying to clean the mess up afterward, the bullet is so tiny and easy to clean up afterward that I don't have to worry about setting everything up the night before.

Along with my magic bullet and my eating habit overhaul, I decided to try a food steamer as well and I'm glad I did!! Steaming your food keeps more nutients and original flavour of whatever you're cooking as opposed to drying it out in the microwave or pouring it down the drain from cooking it on the stove top.

After getting my steamer, I've basically said good bye to the microwave! It may take a few minutes longer with steaming but the taste is sooooo much better then nuking it.
