Me and my first nano cube aquarium

This lens is going to be my diary on my first experience into keeping saltwater fish.
Hopefully this will help me and anyone reading this lens become confident enough to start there own marine aquarium.
No doubt i will have a lot of ups and downs along the way , but i am here for the long haul

A little bit about me and my new adventure

This lens is basically going to be a diary of my first steps into keeping a salt water aquarium.
I have choosen the Orca TL450 Nano Cube as my first tank.
The reason for that choice is that it comes complete with everything i need to get started .
whats in with the tank :
TANK
FILTER SYSTEM
HEATER
PROTEIN SKIMMER
UV STERILISER
LED LIGHTS
COOLING FANS
WATER PUMP
BUILT IN BIO CHEMICAL FILTRATION SYSTEM
2 X 18W T5 10000K LIGHTING

Hopefully this will be all i need to start me off on the right foot.
If not i can get some more extrasalong the way.

MY TANK HAS ARRIVED

At last my nano cube has arrived , looks wicked , will be setting up my stand today , and then getting round to adding some water this afternoon , will post back later today when sorted

Getting there

Well i made a minor mistake after i had added the water to the tank , the chamber that houses the heater did not fill up as i thought it would , and before i could mange to turn the heater off the cold water rushed into the chamber ( that was holding a hot heater ) and BANG!!! my heater exploded into loads of pieces.
So i went out and bought myself a new heater and also some lovely pieces of living rock ( fiji ) .
I have now added the rock to the tank ( this is now were i cam across my second problem ) the box that holds the skum and crap that comes from the skimmer was filling to the top constantly bubbling all over the place , and i didnt really have a clue why that was happening , after a quick phone call to my local aquarium shop he told me the reason ( i had put to much water into the tank ) i needed to drop the level of water slightly to fix the problem.
Hey presto !! it worked .
the tank has now been running for 2 days without any problems , cant wait to start adding some corals and then some fish.

First Fish have been added today = 2 black and white clowns

well im happy to say thet i have just added my first 2 fish today , they are two little black & white clown fish , also decided to add a cleaner shrimp to the tank aswell ( bought a small one ) will keep updating as i progress
