Jewelry and community come together
I love the time I get to dedicate to my jewelry designing and crafting but I've learned that this passion takes me to my community..... I had two experiences from the craft show at Old County School that are noteworthy. The first was my meeting Denise. She wanted a rosary for an elderly friend that she could wear as a bracelet. What a neat idea! So I took her name down and promptly went home and whipped one up for her. This will soon be a new addition to my website. I made the clasp an easy S hook so the lady wearing it did not have to fuse to put it on or take it off. I delivered the piece the next evening to an extremely happy new customer who has promised to phone me once she gives the gift for Christmas! What a good feeling it is to please someone with just a little effort and I have a new item I can market. Talk about win-win!
My second experience was with Kathy. This lady was out of the ordinary. She is going through chemo treatments and was out shopping for Christmas gifts! Talk about spunk! She choose a pair of earrings that were silver and had Swarovski bicones in blue and browns. Only drawback was that she was looking for a set with a necklace. "I can design something to match in no time" I reported. Her eyes lit up, "Really?" she responded. Without missing a beat I had her deposit and name with address in hand. Sunday evening I put together a nice silver piece that matches beautifully! Delivering it tonight.
