I get a lot of phone calls and one of the most commmon questions I get is , "Tim where do you buy your leads?" Well, I will tell you that I never buy leads, every top marketer will tell you they don't buy leads and they don't cold call. There's simply no reason and no need to.

Every lead I ever generated was done through a capture page. A short simple website that gave away just enough information to spark intrest.

When people filled out my capture page, I didn't spam, them, but rather sent them useful reports and educated them, teaching them marketing techinques and the skills they'll need to work at home.

People are sick of getting on a list only to be spammed with a sales pitch YUCK..! Don't get me wrong I have products and we sell our business, but I am going to educate you and we are going to build a trust with each other before we even talk.

Try this, if your marketing to a list, try giving away free reports, videos, tips, and free useful software.

The bottom line, I never cold call people, they all call me first because I give away useful information and they want to talk to me. When you are able to build trust with your readers and truly show them how to make money online, that's when you experience a ton of success.

Recently I was doing a lot of pay-per click and it was killing my budget, I was getting a good ROI, but I wanted something more effective.

I turned my attention to solo ad marketing. Solo ads are a group of people on a list who are all looking to make money on the internet. For a small price, usually between $2 and $50 you can mail out an ad to the list and have them subscribe to your list. THEY WORK!

The key is to do solo ads at credit based safelists, and to order the "contact solo ads" from them. Contact solo ads go directly to the persons contact e-mail address where you know they are more than likely going to receive it and read it.

Article writing is hands down one of the most effective ways to drive targetted traffic to your business. In fact, this is where I started. With only $1700 in my bank account through article writing I was able to get to over $50,000 monthly in a matter of 6 months time with my business.

Here's how it works; writing articles that talk about your product, program or business, then submitting these articles to article directories attracts traffic back to your site that are specific to your topic.

Using keyword specifc phrases in your article title and throughout the article body sends singals to search engines like Google and Yahoo that allows your site to rank higher for specific keywords related to your business.

Press releases are a great way to bring targetted traffic to your site. Here are some steps to take when writing effective press releases to get them to rank higher in the search engines.

1)Make sure the title has the keyword of your business within the title

2)Make sure the keyword of your business is within the body of the press release 3-5 times.

3)Make 2-3 of the keywords in the body of the press release a hyper link back to your website.

Write press releases often, and submit them early on in the week. At least 1-2 press releases should be written every week.

I've been doing a bit of testing and to be truthful, I've for the most part always marketed my internet business online. I recently started using postcards to reach a different audicance, and let me tell you the results I am getting are out of this world.

Here's what I am finding with postcards. You need to do a mailing where your postcard arrives as a "stand alone" meaning you don't want your postcards to come in a big stack with a bunch of others.

Secondly, you want to target people that have money to spend on an opportunity. Typically the 50k-100k anually bracket pulls the best.

People who recieve your postcard are usually not jaded and are open to your opportunity, therefore making it a lot easier for you to sell. Not to mention, it's easy to duplicate the process for your team members, after all it's just a matter of ordering the postcards to drive traffic to your site.

My most recent test was a mailing of 1,000 postcards and out of that 1,000 postcards, I spent $477 and recieved back $7,000 on the nose. Talk about a huge return on investment. I've since ordered another mailing of 2,000 postcards this go around and I have people calling me like crazy eager to join "My Internet Business".
