I step out my door, have a look around at what I have been missing, in plain sight,it is the best time of my day.
REFERRING TO MY SQUIDOO LENS "IN MY BACKYARD",
It is with each little bird I see, plant that grows, seeing the world through my grandchildrens eyes, I am rediscovering what is important to me!
Whether it is me showing my age, MAYBE!
I feel a need to redefine myself.

Life throws us many curves along the way, Whether or not we think they are deserved, we carry on,at times it can Overwhelm or bring Simple Joys,
MY BACK YARD SANCTUARY
MY BIRDS NEVER DISAPPOINT! they seem to have their own unique personalities.
Many times we sit on our deck, and are entertained by the not so exotic sparrows, every once in a while I am happy to see a Robin, Woodpecker, and more frequently
the Black birds.
I have an issue with the blackbirds though, a couple of times I have caught them with my sparrows in their mouths, all part of Nature, but I don't handle it well.
I read a verse in the Bible that said, not even a bird falls to the ground without your father knowing, For this reason I feel close to God when I am out with my birds!
(sorry i can not give the bible verse, I can't find it, not sure which version I seen it in, if you know let me know!) maybe I dreamt it, but it makes me feel close to God in Nature!
SO I ESCAPE TO MY FAVORITE PLACE,
WITH CAMERA IN HAND
THE BEAUTY OF NATURE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!Reflecting back, I find it sad to think it took me so many years to see it!
It took getting a camera to realize what I had been missing.
I always loved a beautiful view, but missed the little things along the way.
a drop of water on a leaf, a reflection on a lake, a silhouette, these are the little things that having a camera hekped me see.
