Meet My Two Best Friends - My Kids
As February is International Friendship Month, I thought I would feature my two best friends... Morgan and Rhiannon.
These two amazing young people are my children and I wonder what it is I did to deserve them. I am so seriously blessed by having these two people in my world - and I want to share just how you can be friends with your kids.
Now.... I take my role as a Mum pretty seriously... I'm here to guide these two through life and help them 'be all they can be'.... I'm not sure I expected that they would become my friends and what that would mean to me.
So here's a tribute to my most amazing kids, my friends.

Being A Friend To My Kids
I Had Learn So Many Things....

- Had to learn to let go of perfection - untidy rooms are o.k
- Learnt to listen to my kids and speak to them as young (very young) adults
- Let my kids see I was human!
Obviously - as evidenced in this photo, my kids were happy and healthy and loved each other very much. It hasn't changed much either...

Children Experience The World...
We loved taking our children out to experience the world... Nature parks, zoo's, museums and so much more.
When they were very little, we spent an entire day at Australia's Wonderland - a theme park in Sydney that is now shut. They spent hours patting the Kangaroos in the nature park...
Or, there was the time we took them to Movie World when they were little... We didn't go on many rides, but had a ball meeting the characters:

Dads Are Important...
My husband is an important part in our childrens life. Sometimes I wonder whether Men ever really grow up and watching Stuart with the kids, I think I know the answer.

- The bond between mother and child is strong. It doesn't matter that both my boys tower over me and are independent adults now. They are my babies and always will be.

- Love your lens about your children being your 'Friends'. My 3 children are now grown, but they are all my 'friends' and friends with each other, which delights me no end. We share our lives with each other, even though we live far apart, and truly enjoy each others' company on in-person visits, and by telephone and email. We encourage and support each other; offer a shoulder to lean on when needed, rejoice in each others' successes and joys. Very special, my family! 5*
