My Little Pony Girl
My Little Pony first made it's depute in 1982 manufactured by the Hasbro toy company. During the 1980's it became very popular amongst girls ages 5-12 and at one point, even sold more than Mattel's "Barbie."
I remember playing with the original My Little Pony when I was a child. Now, my girls have their own collection to create a ponyland all of their own!
I thought there would be no better way to share with you about My Little Pony than to tell it from a mom and daugther's point of view. Sharing with you the original and new My Little Pony. So yes, my seven year old daughter is helping me put this together as we speak;)
I hope you find this fun, informative and exciting! If you were a My Little Pony fan as a child, I hope this brings back some wonderful memories for you.
Now...let's take a trip to Ponyville!

My Little Pony-told by "Mom"
I don't remember how old I was or the day I got my first My Little Pony. I do remember playing ponies for hours with my two sisters though. You may remember something similar.
A lot has changed since "My Little Pony" first made her depute. She's made a few changes over the years. The older ponies were a bit larger, the colors weren't a vibrant and the names were different.
Some of the names that you may remember are: Blossom, Blue Belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty and Snuzzle.
When I had girls of my own...I went looking for some of my older toys. I couldn't find much, but it always seems that old things do make a come back and in 1999 Hasbro re-released for a third time a brand new collection of My Little Pony known by collectors at Generation 3

I like to pretend that I am really in Ponyville. I would go to the Cotton Candy Cafe and have a snack with Minty. Then I would go to the castle and help the ponies get ready for a trip to Unicornia. I would help Rarity make the rainbow of the season. Then we would go to Butterfly Island for a wonderful time.

- Hi Fiona,
I like your site. Even though I'm a boy I like ponies (not pink, but black and brown).

- Well now I know all about my little pony for natalie. She only has one but she loves it. I think she has star catcher now that I have read up on the characters. I have a question for Fiona though...Which one is your favorite?

- Hey Fiona, Great job. I can just see you sitting in a pile of Pony Stuff. I guess you call that Ponyville. Have a good time there, but be home in time for Supper.
Love You
