My Favorite Mac Apps

Open Source, freeware, donation-ware and otherwise Mac Apps that I can't live without.

These are the Mac apps I've found that do really wonderful things. I use some of them alone and some together.

I have found some similar applications for Windows, but most paled in comparison or were too complicated to just launch and go, as all of the apps listed are.
Adium
Multi-protocol chat client (can chat to people on Yahoo!, AIM, AOL, MSNMS, ICQ and others)
BBEDIT
BBEdit is the leading professional HTML and text editor for the Macintosh.
Quicksilver
An evolving framework for accessing and manipulating many forms of personal data.

At first glance Quicksilver's an application launcher. When you start using it, it's so much more.

I use it to launch apps, move and locate files, and to send quick emails without having to launch the email client.
Textpander
Helps you type more efficiently and accurately.

Textpander can be used for HTML tags, hard to remember URLs, signatures etc. It can even insert images or a combination of text and images.

I have a set of text snippets that I use regularly like my email address can be inserted by simply typing <@>.

Best of all it's built for Mac.
