"A cup or more tea a day, Keep the doctors away" Chinese proverb

Directions
Pour one cup of fresh boiling water over tea bag, steep 4 to 6 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor. Lemon or honey may be added

There's only so much the Doctor can do the rest is up to you.

"Why hope to live a long life if we're only going to fill it with self-absorption, body maintenance, and image repair? When we die, do we want people to exclaim 'She looked ten years younger,' or do we want them to say 'She lived a great life'?"

The Importance of Breathing Through Your Nose
Except for emergencies, our breathing was designed to take place mainly through our nose. When we breathe through our nose, the hairs that line our nostrils filter out particles of dust and dirt that can be injurious to our lungs. If too many particles accumulate on the membranes of the nose, we automatically secret mucus to trap them or sneeze to expel them. The mucous membranes of our septum, which divides the nose into two cavities, further prepare the air for our lungs by warming and humidifying it.

There is another important reason for breathing through the nose. This has to do with maintaining the correct balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our blood. When we breathe through our mouth we usually inhale and exhale air quickly in large volumes. This often leads to a kind of hyperventilation (breathing excessively fast for the actual conditions in which we find ourselves). It is important to recognize that it is the amount of carbon dioxide in our blood that generally regulates our breathing. Research has shown that if we release carbon dioxide too quickly, the arteries and vessels carrying blood to our cells constrict and the oxygen in our blood is unable to reach the cells in sufficient quantity. This includes the carotid arteries which carry blood (and oxygen) to the brain. The lack of sufficient oxygen going to the cells of the brain can turn on our sympathetic nervous system, our "fight or flight" response, and make us tense, anxious, irritable, and depressed. So remember, when possible, to breathe through your nose.

Effort Is Prevention

Good Reasons To Make A Medicine Cabinet

Most of us wait until we are already ill physically or mentally and sometimes both happen at the same time as we know and we are never prepared so we suffer much a medicine cabinet is what keeps me more balance =more peace of mind.. this is the aim It should not be about wanting to live longer or looking younger.. the world is afraid of growing old and this stops us from enjoying life and being lucky enough to grow old after all we are not machines .. how long we live here on earth does not matter without quality..again its our effort that counts.

Effort(prevention) pulls you towards better health and the reward will be less pain less colds less flu's less headaches less doctors by helping us keep up our Immune System..Important Personal Effort Is Prevention .. this makes the difference for less carelessness too.

When I say I think I'll make a cup of tea it automatically tells me its time to calm down and relax.. slow everything down in the mind.. because that's what it does to me when I drink it this is a good trick to practice to slow the mind down

How To Stop Smoking

Giving up any habbit is hard at first but giving up smoking when you love it like a ' friend ' is even harder.. these are not our friends!! even cutting down would start the healing process just by First thinking about cutting down is a great start I did this for three years just thinking about it.. then one day my mind was ready to let them go only the first week is hard.. when you don't smoke for one whole day it will pull at you it will feel terrible but no matter it will be a great step.

I.C.E

Make sure you put your Emergency numbers on a sheet of paper and tape it to the inside of the cabinet closer to the phone where the kids know where they are and put them in your I.C.E. (in case of emergency) in the cell phone (I still don't have one!)

Also if you live in a two story house make sure you have a fire ladder for a emergency no one with a second story house should be without a emergency ladder.. if you buy or sell a second floor house you should have a Permanent escape ladder by it I mean a permanent spot tucked away under the window is perfect and if you should need it you open it up and pull out it is waiting for your get away! but the cheaper one is better then nothing at all too!

I was going to do a lens on fire victims starting with olivia a girl that lived not too far from my house and it happens more then we think (no working batteries )but I couldn't do it I find it too emotional so I added it on this lens I didn't want to dig any farther.

Tucked under window

But at the same time I need to pass the importance of working batteries or at least a ladder .. but do both this would make us more responsible don't buy a second story house if they don't have a permanent fire ladder!!I like to think Olivia is smiling when I pass this lens around.

I am not sure if there is a day set for Fire Alarm Awareness but what a good idea! pick a day so we won't forget to check if our alarm batteries are working

Sail On By

When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all (all)
I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you (ooh)
I'll take your part, oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
Oh, if you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Bridge Over Troubled Water
