My fascination with keepsake boxes began when I was a little girl, exploring my Mom's keepsake box. I could stand there for hours looking at all her jewelry & trinkets. My imagination would run wild!

I know more about the story behind those items than anyone else, because every time my mother found me going through the box, I asked her about each item. Some of them were given to my mother by her mother, and of course, there are items given by my father.

Even today, I enjoy going through the box and remembering each item as I looked at them as a child, with an even greater understanding of the importance of that box to my Mom. She passed away 10 years ago, and I now have possession of the box and its contents.

Just giving the gift of the box itself creates a lasting memory and a story: Who presented the box? What was the first item placed within it?
