My Organic Vegetable Garden
Ranked #39,659 in Healthy Living, #500,951 overall
Why my garden (nowadays) will always be an organic vegetable garden!
Over the years I've had several gardens, but not always an organic vegetable garden. My first garden was a small patch in my parents garden, where I grew flowers, mostly sweetpeas which I still love. I was enchanted by seeing the small seed developing into a beautiful flower, and all I had to do was water and watch! I know now that it takes a little more to make your garden flourish, and I've also learnt about the importance of having an organic garden. Now it feels strange that I once gladly used pesticides and artificial fertilizers in my first garden. What then makes it absolutely necessary for me to have an organic vegetable garden these days?
There are three main reasons:
-The environment
-My own and everybody else's health
-The sheer joy of doing things in accordance with the ground rules of life

Yes, I'm a "save-the-world" type of person and that includes having an organic vegetable garden!
I have to admit it, a part of my dedication to having an organic vegetable garden is because I have an ambition to save the world :-)!
Perhaps not entirely on my own, but I like to think I make a major (or at least a small!) contribution. I recycle my packaging, my newspapers and my magazines, I catch the bus or the commuter and I don't fly that often. I also use low energy bulbs (at least in places where I don't get nauseated by the blueish light), and I meticulously collect batteries and return them to the store. And I don't use poisons in my garden or feed my plants with artificial fertilizers. Those are absolute no-no's if you are a "save-the-world" person! Why? Read on and also check the reasons for this at HavingAnOrganicGarden.info
How I discovered that health has everything to do with having an organic vegetable garden!
Or how I realized that I'm just another animal
Oh my god, you might think, just another animal, is this woman a total moron? Does she wander around in her organic vegetable garden as God created her (by that I mean in the nude, in case you didn't get the picture!)?You can be perfectly calm, I'm always descent in my garden! By being just another animal I mean that the biology of my body is no different than that of my dog. Or not that much different anyway. And I always make sure that my dog gets the best food and spends a healthy amount of time outdoors. Why treat my own body with less care? And the best food IS organic food, believe me. If the poisons we spray on our chemicals is fatal to or damaging to the reproduction of living organisms in the garden, you can be pretty damn well sure that it's damaging to you too.

The bliss of feeling part of the life around you in your organic vegetable garden
Living on terms with the basic rules of life
It is a truly good and satisfying feeling to know that your organic vegetable garden is in accordance with life's own ground rules, and that you're not fighting a war against those very rules. It can't be good for your inner peace to go around in your garden spreading poisons and contributing to the climate change while feeding your plants with artificial fertilizers. Give yourself the gift of being a part of the wonderful, magic life of the planet! Featured Lenses

- Hey! I send salutes for everybody! I might be not very accurate this time, then, appealing to your gentle side and I gonna set up my issue. The only chance I've got would be that a kind cybernaut gives me a hand, owing to the fact that I gotta find out what are some things which are called Generic Viagra , Viagra Online , Kamagara or something like that if I am not wrong. Moreover, side-effects is also another issue I would like to be aware of. I thought that it would be a clever behavior if I hide my identity because this issue is closely related to somebody who wouldn't like me to to get involved in this mater. I respectfully apologize if I was mean, selfish or such, but I am too desperate and I don't know when somebody gonna help me. I wrote this because I felt encouraged enough to come here due to I know I would not find wicked people but friendly. I am eternally grateful with you all.

- Nice to meet you, Katrin! I very much enjoyed reading what you've had to say and I hope you'll add more. Organic gardening is a little out of my reach currently; I live in a second story apartment. But I do find the subject interesting. Long ago, my mother subscribed to Rodale's Organic Gardening Magazine and grew her crops according to the guidelines in that publication. And I always enjoyed perusing it when she was done. I am 5-starring your lens, favoriting it, rolling it to my Laftovers lens. And I'm joining your fan club because I liked what you had to say....and because I like your picture and am holding out hope that one day you might just have a change of heart and decide to garden in the buff. :)
