My Pregnancy

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. I had been feeling sick for about a week and couldn't seem to shake it. My husband and I were trying but I had been on the Depo-Provera shots for 5 years before I stopped, so we had no idea when to expect I would get pregnant. I had been off the depo for 14 months before I did get pregnant.
I used three different over the counter tests that all came back positive and then made an appointment with my regular obgyn to confirm it. It was so exciting. We were so happy.
I had really bad morning sickness from the time I found out I was pregnant until about the 13th week. At about 7 weeks I did end up going to the hospital because I hadn't been able to hold anything down for 48 hours. They gave me an IV and it helped. My doctor then gave me Fenergan at first which tasted horrible and was hard to hold down. They then prescribed me Zofran which was a little more pricey but worked wonders.
I did have a lot of heartburn during my entire pregnancy as well. I was chewing 6-8 Tums a day and my doctor then gave me Prevacid. That was another miracle drug. Other than those two symptoms I had a pretty boring pregnancy. I didn't have any weird cravings or swollen ankles. The appropriate areas did get sore as the time came and by the end I could barely see my feet below me, but no other side effects. I didn't crave salty or sweet or eat a whole lot. I actually ate smaller meals more often because there was no room for my stomach to fill up.
By my 40th week Xander was born. Just under two weeks early.
