MySpace Layout Generators

MySpace has certainly taken the world by storm. The only problem with it, as if you hadn't noticed, is that the standard MySpace layout is, well, dull. Boring. Agreed?

Yeah, of course. So that's why you're here looking for MySpace Layout Generators.

Good choice. But let me tell you something. There are probably a gazillion trillion layout generators out there. Most of them suck. A few are okay. And fewer still are really worth your time.

So let's get crackin' and find the ones in the last group there.

MySpace Layout Generators: A Primer

If you want to truly make your MySpace page your own, you're going to need to customize the layout of the profile page. There are two ways to do this -- you can learn a bit of programming and do some coding yourself, or you can go hunting for pre-made layouts that others have created.

Some of these will also come with things like backgrounds, some graphics and other elements that will help your page stand out.

Most of the sites you'll find advertising layout generators are actually in the business of offering these pre-programmed layouts. So the stuff will already have been "generated" before you get there.

If that's cool with you, then have at it.

Couple things you should know about this approach...

Most of these sites offer their services for free. This is nice...in a way. Sure, free is great. But free is also, well, free. And sometimes you get what you pay for, know what I mean?

Now, these sites DO make money -- but through things like running Google AdSense ads or something, not from people like you looking for MySpace layouts.

In a way, having ads on the site is a good sign. Since these sites will only make money if a lot of people visit them, they have an incentive to put out at least a decent product.

So browse through these sites to your heart's content. As Bluto Blutarski would say, "Don't cost nothin'."

Be prepared for some trial and error experimentation with these layouts. What looks good "in the shop" (i.e. on the site) may look like crap on your MySpace page.

But testing the different layouts can be fun, and it's definitely a cool way to kill an hour or so.

Also remember that there's no need to stop with overall layouts when customizing MySpace.

Look for unique graphics, fonts, icons, background and animations that can all contribute to the uniqueness of your page.

But if you really, really, really want to give a unique experience, consider adding something like games to your page.

Ahh, but that's for a different day, grasshopper.

Stop back soon and we'll open that whole can of worms ;)
