Emo started out as a style of rock music and now has grown to sort of define a whole part of our generation. It's now a term used to describe fashion and a whole attitude, namely emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angsty. The emo trend has coincided with a huge increase in technology, internet use, and social networking sites like myspace. Myspace gives its users the ability to customize their profiles and showcase their style. Emo Layouts have become very popular on myspace profiles. The classic style of Emo Layouts is dark, often with themes of depression, and symbols such as skulls, hearts, etc. However, a wide range of Emo Backgrounds can be found, and are not all sad and depressing, some people identify brighter colors, stripes, etc.
