    I review artists that other people haven't heard of on my blog, Melodyhunt. Contrary to popular belief, most of the bands I find are found while searching through Myspace. Sometimes I'll find a band on Myspace, I'll see the band is touring, and I'll then go to the website for some of the events they'll be touring to. This gives me a whole list of bands that sound like that artist.

    It's a shame about myspace. I had one for my music for so long, but it simply wouldn't get plays because no one went on myspace. Now I have a purevolume account, it doesn't get as much traffic, but it uploads music faster. I'm in and out, unlike myspace. Great lens!

    I'm a singer-songwriter and I have Myspace music page. It's very cool for musician. One of the best social networking sites for musicians.

    I do not have a band, but have friends in a band. They have always loved the internet, as it is how to market a band easily and to the right people! thanks for this lens, it is really great information!

    Hello! I have a Myspace "bands" profile (even though I'm a solo musician, LOL) at http://www.myspace.com/karenthelairmistress . I've gotten gigs and met a lot more new musicians and bands on Myspace than I ever did at Sonicbids. Not that there's anything wrong with Sonicbids (aside from the fact that it costs a bit to maintain one's EPK)...

    Anyway, thanks for the Myspace lens!

    Great addition to Squidoo... bands need to check into this for suggestions. I think one problem is that people overload their pages with too much video and graphics - it makes people avoid the page because it takes so long to load and use.

    My group has a MySpace page - but I no longer see it as a way to get our music out there - more of a place to send people to and communicate through.. mostly because there's no recommendation service, you have to be lucky which can be time consuming! Blogging has become the most popular way to promote music and I use the Hype Machine to keep up to date with other artists - I'm trying to get my music up there too.

    I have had a myspace band profile now for a long time and have enjoyed many great artisits on myspace also your page is awesome I would also like to tell you about another great new site for all you bands and artists out there that is up and coming to check out new unsigned bands with more and also post your band the exposure has been great for me since the site is not that huge yet I have been contacted already on this site by 2 labels I can't believe it someone out there is looking check it out and sign up www.hambelly.com

    Rated your lens. To answer your question: I use myspace to keep in touch with my friends and family and to network with online contacts. I have pictures of my 7 kids and some music people can listen to through projectplaylist. Anyway, I enjoyed your lens.

    Zach Fowler and the Essentials are my fave band on myspace. They already have cd out and EVERY song is great. Also, LanceWaste, they've been featured on mtv in realworld they are great.

    Hey, Julianne. I love your lens... and your profile. You're a very well-rounded person, indeed. I do have a myspace music page, with one "work in progress" posted.     You may have already heard this story, but we found Little Anthony and the Imperials on My Space. My sister has a lens about them, so I wrote them on My space and told them about it. Sure enough, one of the bandmembers visited her lens and left a comment! Fun!

    It's always amazing to see how one's idea that starts off small grows into something so big, that good writers all over the net start writing and talking about it. I am looking forward to the day that JamBuzzer reaches the same milestone, and am looking forward to the day that music artists and bands reach a level of success that they thought only existed in dreams, as a result of what I am trying to make possible for them with it ;)

    Great lens. I'm working on a network that hooks up indie musicians and unknown designers. I'm going to promote this through my lens called YoTaggs.

    Yeah! you created a lens which will be useful for all music lovers it will appreciate a list of the official MySpace pages for these great metal and rock bands.Most grand a> are of counterweight design, this means that the piano light has a weighted end offsetting the lighted end, which provides improved stability.
