Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst is also known as Mystery Case Files 3, or MCF3, for short. As you may have guessed, it is the 3rd installment in the Mystery Case Files series. Some of the others are Mystery Case Files: Huntsville, Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate, Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects, and the newest Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst. There are also several other Mystery Case Files games, including those for platforms other than PC.At its very basic, MCF is a series of hidden object games, meaning that you have a limited amount of time to locate all the objects in your list. Sometimes the object description will be very simple, like "horn," but keep an open mind! Are you looking for a horn like a French horn or a bull's horn?
In Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, you are once again the Master Detective. This time, however, you are investigating the mystery at Ravenhearst Manor. The diary of former resident Emma Ravenhearst has been discovered. While this diary may clarify this history surrounding the manor, several pages are missing! It is your task to find the missing pages by searching all the rooms to unlock the secret. Good luck!

You may not want all the answers to solving the puzzles in the game, but here are a few general game hints that can help you speed things along. You can find links to full walkthroughs in the next section.
- Think about all the possible meanings of words. A "star" may be more than just the first kind of star you think of.
- Focus and de-focus your eyes. The items may be hidden by color or shape. They may be hidden "in plain sight" or in the pattern of the upholstery.
- Realize that it's not necessary to find ALL the hidden items. You want to aim for the hidden diary page!
- There are several door puzzles. If you get stuck, use the telephone.
- Pace yourself! Have fun! Relax, there are 32 unique rooms!
