Mystic Consciousness

Dr Hawkins has developed a logarithmic scale of levels of consciousness (describing amount of power or energy) of all of life called the Map of Consciousness®. The map of consciousness clearly demarcates and brilliantly captures the difference between the use of power (positive energy) and force (negative energy). This scale of consciousness is useful in determining the levels of truth (power) and falsehood (force) in all applications in life.

Folks who are familiar with Dr Hawkins' work will understand the meaning of the numbers assigned to the levels of consciousness from bacteria at "1" to Christ Consciousness at "1000". For folks who are new to Dr Hawkins and the map of consciousness®, please start with reading the book Power vs Force as it explains and documents the development of and credentials behind the map of consciousness document.

The numbers on the map of consciousness® were assigned due to ease of process. They simply assign a number value to scientifically and well documented attributes and liabilities of the different energies or power levels of plant, animal and human consciousness. There are noteable paradigm shifts within this range of subjective experiential energetic realities from pride to courage, reason to love, ecstasy to the peace of enlightenment, and Void to the state of Allness (Divinity is recognized in all of life).

Christ Consciousness is the highest level of consciousness the human body's nervous system can handle (remember we are talking energy). Bacteria at 1 has very limited power relative to the power of the level of consciousness at the top of the scale .

The map outlines the general qualities of consciousness as life evolves, with humans and the pre-frontal cortex allowing higher levels of thought and interaction with the environment than plant and animal life. The ego oriented levels of consciousness on the map that are below that of enlightenment are described in Dr Hawkins' book Power vs Force.

The mystic reality or nonlinear consciousness on the map is at or above the quality of enlightenment, or Self-Realization. It has been said that in the initial stages of enlightenment, the bliss that is felt from the release of ego programming and resistive lower energies like fear, anger, pride etc can be so overwhelming that one literally leaves the body behind. Folks who do stay on the planet often stay at the level of bliss, and discontinue functioning in prior roles in society.

As the mystic consciousness continues to expand, and the human protoplasm gets more accustomed to the higher frequencies of higher states of awareness, a teaching role may surface, wherein the mystic shares what is learned by the inner Silence with the world. On the map of consciousness®, this is around consciousness level "700" . It is rare to find writings from the level of bliss at 600 as bliss is almost impossible to conceptualize.

By consciousness level 850, the subjective, experiential reality of the mystic consciousness has transcended the spiritual void of nothingness, to realize the Divinity of Allness. The "guardians at the gate of to be or not to be" have been understood to be yet another concept of ego, this time the spiritual ego, and the core of the ego, that which believes itself to be life Itself, is surrendered to God and melted by the complete and total Presence of God.

"By their fruits they shall be known" is an indication of the mystic consciousness that is residing within us all, yet is shared with the world by mystics via high caliber presentations in the arts, written works or public speaking. Dr Hawkins' most outstanding document on descriptions of the Presence of God calibrates up to 980 on the map of consciousness, with a few "points" being lost only due to translation (semantics/transcription).
