It was the Mayan Power cloak that first got me on to this thread. There are any number of magical devices that are described in the world. Dr Who's phone booth that doubles as a time machine is one. It is after all, bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.

Remember when you first came across the notion of someone using an icicle as a murder weapon? And so it melts and no evidence of a weapon can be found.

And then there is the weapon of convience. Isn't it convenient that the victim had a lethal food allergy for instance. So that his death could look like an accidental oversight.

One of the creepiest objects in cinema is the living dolls that only seem to move or talk when there are no witnesses. Only a nut would blame a doll for murder right?
