My Top 50 Books

Ranked #4,519 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #161,245 overall

My Favorite Books - Top 50 List

A list of my all time favorite books, in no particular order because I love them ALL oh so very much! However I would love it if you could vote for your favorites.
UPDATE: There's now only 37 books since I compressed some of the different long series reads like Harry Potter.

I'm so glad my parents instilled in me the love for books I used to devour them. Unfortunately and very sadly these days it seems like reading is becoming a lost art so my goal is to show my almost one year old son how amazingly interesting books and the worlds within them are. At 10 months he started reading some of his first words, I'm going to post a video of him reading as soon as I dig it out from my millions of videos of him. UPDATE: posted the vids on Best Baby Toys & Necessities

P.S. I taught him how to read with the huge help of the educational videos on my Best Baby Toys & Necessities lens

Have you read any of these??? If yes then give it a point!

Try Robin Hobbs' Trilogies- Assassin's Apprentice, Assassin's Quest, and Royal Assassin. Fitz has two unique abilities and his role/name is catalyst in a changing world. If you like these try the liveship trilogy-then try the Fool's trilogy and learn about the fantastical history of his world coming alive in his present!

    Oops...that's nine innit? good reading!

Those are on my shelf waiting. I recommend Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn and Wolf of the plains by Conn Iggulden. The latter is part of the Conqueror trilogy about Genghis Khan, but I've only read the first one so far. Tales of the Otori's about a village orphan in feudal Japan who's adopted by a warlord and rises through the ranks to become a fierce warlord himself. Along the way he discovers he's also heir to a ninja clan and has mysterious abilities.

It's always fun to see another booklover's list of favourite reads! :) I haven't read the newest Dan Brown yet but am hearing some fab reviews. I checked him out on Infloox and found some really good info there about his roots and how he got started as a writer. Have a look at the post I made about him on my Squidoo lens - http://www.squidoo.com/author_influences

Wow, sad to say I've only read like 10 out of the 50 books and I love books. That's because there are just too many out there these days:)
