    We went to WDW for the first time last year. We all absolutely LOVED IT!! Almost a year on and every time the kids see an advert on TV the starting talking about the holiday again. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great lens.

    It's great having all this helpful info compiled here. I used to go to WDW a few times every year growing up. I haven't taken my children there yet, but I'm sure they'd enjoy it.

    I have been to Walt Disney World several times and love it! I weent there as a kid, then took my kids twice and there are so many good memories about it that my lst of experiences would be endless. This page is right on time for me since I`ll be going there again in a few weeks. Will come back and share more an nice experience :)

    The hub & I were fortunate to have been able to take a vacation in the mid 1990s, and it happened to be the 25th anniversary of WDW. One of the best vacations, and one of the best places we ever went. I would go back to Disney World in a heartbeat, given the opportunity. Thank you for sharing your experience.

    I have never experienced the magic of Disney Land although I would love to at some point in my life. Perhaps I will take my new born nephew when he gets a bit older.

    Since I live on the west coast I've been to Disneyland several times, but have never gone to Walt Disney World but would like to visit some day. Will certainly check out all of your great tips when it comes time to plan a trip there.

    Disney land was famous for a very long time.As a chinese, it is not very convenient to visit DL in US or EU.

    But good news, The Disney Land has decide to locate in Shanghai. Hoho...will go and play after finish.

    I grew up in southern California and practically lived at Disneyland. It feels like home to me. And when my children were little, we would go to Disney World and stay at the resorts. These are some of my happiest memories 9which is only fitting for the "happiest place on earth"). Thanks for all the helpful links. I hope to go back again really soon.     I have not been there except when I was young about 1972 I think it was. So, it was new then. However I grew up 30 minutes from Disneyland so I have been there too many times to count. Last time I went was 2001 though.

    Wow, wow and wow! So much information all in one place! As a child I DREAMT of going to Disneyland. I finally made it there as an adult with my husband and it was as magical as I'd imagined.     I'll be going to WDW in January. I love to ride the rides. All the rides. I hope to eat at California Grill this trip and enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks while we eat. Great lens.

    Wow, what a great resource for anyone planning to go to Disney World in Orlando. We were there when our children were in jr hi - long time ago! A trip I won...we went to Universal Studios, Epcot, and Seaworld.

    I was there the first season they were open. There were only two hotels: the Polynesian Resort and the Contemporary Hotel and I don't think the Contemporary was even open yet.

    You used to buy a book of tickets. A through E I think. You only got a couple of the best tickets in a book and those were for rides like Space Mountain and The Haunted Mansion.

    Personally I liked Mr Toad's Wild Ride. I think it took a C ticket. It's no longer there though :(

    When young, my first visit to the castle, I made fairytale wishes. One was to return, when in love, and I did :) Have many lovely memories of Disney World ... Was a time we went 4 or 5 times a year. Went to most of the resort openings. Followed the magic!

    I remember going several times to the Disneyland near Paris, France. It was like visiting a fairy tale! I was mostly impressed by Hollywood studios. I loved the explanations of the process of film-making and cartoon creation. I also loved the historical part of it.

    We just took our grandchildren for their first visit. Things haven't changed at all except that it was much busier than I remember. A trip everyone should strive to do with their children or grandchildren. Your lens contains lots of great info.

    I've been to Disneyland 3 times but Disney World only once and I would like to go once more because it is a big place and we missed so much of it. This is a great lens to find out what we missed and plan our next trip to complete the experience. Thank you.

    Although from the UK, I've been a couple of times. The Magic Kingdom is great, but perhaps my best memory was welcoming in the New Year at Epcot about 12 years ago.

    Aahh another question about Disney memories..If you ask me about Disney cartoon memories then i can share lots but Since I haven't been to Disney land yet I have no memories :D My sister does though..she loved it!!

    Hey I'm really glad I found this lens. It so happens that I'm visiting disney world in july. I want to book a room at the boardwalk inn but I want to make sure of two things: a) that you can go to the theme park from the hotel by monorail b) I want to have breakfast with mickey! Do you know anything about this?

    Glad to see you found the lens helpful! As far as the monorail goes, it does not travel to the Boardwalk Inn. The only resorts that the monorail stops at are the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary.

    There is bus transportation provided by Disney to all of the parks from every resort, so getting around wouldn't be a problem any which way, but if the monorail is a must, those are your resorts of choice.

    As far as breakfast with Mickey goes, there are a number of restaurants that have character meals. The one I personally recommend is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. The others are the Tusker House at Animal Kingdom and 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort.

Although I'll be honest, next time I'm in Florida the first place I'm going is Universal Studios so I can visit the Harry Potter park!! lol

    I don't think we are ever too old for Disney World. I still love it. I remember arriving for breakfast and being served a waffle that was shaped just like Mickey!

    The first time I ever went to Disney World I was 20 years old.... But I still felt like a little kid!! Since then I fell in love with Disney and Universal Studios so much it is the only place on Earth I ever want to go when I'm on vacation! Lol There's nothing better than planning a cool trip to Disney World for at least 10 days!
