Disney Character Dining

Getting to meet you favorite Disney characters is one of the big draws of going to the Disney Parks for some people. The chance to get a little face-to-face time with Mickey or Goofy is often a thrill for little kids, and it's fun to see children's faces light up when they hug their favorite character. One of the trademark Disney ways of making this happen is character dining.

Sit down, have a nice meal, and have some of your Disney favorites come visit you while you eat! There are a number of places at Walt Disney World to experience character dining, and the selection of characters who will come out to greet you vary from place to place. I'll go over the location and characters at each meal in the following lens, along with providing links to the menus of each restaurant.

One thing to keep in mind, if you wish to dine with characters, it's all but a requirement to make advanced reservations - tables fill up quickly, and it's much better to go in prepared than show up and try waiting for a table, which more than likely will not open up due to the popularity of these special dining experiences.

Please note that all prices are as of 6-25-11. I will update the page as soon as I find out about any price increases. Also, there is no guarantee that every character will appear in any given location on a given day, though there are rarely missing characters, in my experience.

The best dining character I've ever had the pleasure to join my table was a donkey in Mexico. Yes, it's true. The donkey was a very much added attraction to the dining experience.
