Well the reviews are in and yes both cream based and polish based are very effective. Polish based deterrents are equally good.  They are advisable to be used on kids as kids will not get irritated when applying them instead of the creams. Having checked the reviews of both cream based and polish based Nail Biting Deterrent, it seems that there are higher reviews for the polish based ones. I guess the main reason is that it is less hassle than the cream based one. Nothing against cream based deterrents as they too have their advantage of creating much healthier nails.
