What is Your "Soap Opera" Name? Come On--Play Along!
(By the way, I highly recommend the book!_
In chapter 24, Tess (main character) and Rick (a lawyer) are heading to the home of a retired San Antonio Detective whose name is Marty Diamond. A discussion takes place between Tess and Rick about the detective's name.
Thus I discovered the "Silly Name Games".
"He must have a good p*rno name," [Tess] remarked, just to be saying something.
"Our detective friend, Marty Diamond. A good porno name, but not a good soap opera name," (remarks Tess.)"What?" (replies Rick)
"Don't you know how to get your porno name? You take your childhood pet['s name] and the name of the street where you lived as a child, and that's your 'nom de nedkkid.' I don't have a good one unless I cheat and take the cross street where I currently live. Then I'm Tweetie Shakespeare. What's yours?" (Tess asks Rick.)
....
"The porno names are problematic, (Tess goes on to explain.) "But the soap opera names always work. That's middle name plus current street. Then I'm Esther Bond. So boring. Sounds like an old lady who runs the dress shop and never gets in on one of the big plots."
"I'm... Midnight Zarzamora."
(said Rick the lawyer from Lippman's book)
Hmm. Is "Midnight" his pet's name or his middle name?" (Tess thought.)
[from In Big Trouble]
What would your "p*rno name" be?
Name of your childhood pet + Name of the street you lived on as a child:
Mine would be "Dixie Hill." My childhood pet was a dog named Dixie. I lived on Perry Hill Rd. I cheated a little by leaving off the "Perry". But, it works.
My spouse's name would be "Sonny Boy Street." Or it could have been "Sonny Boy 37." He lived on 37th Street.
Kind of funny isn't it?

Yeah my porn name doesn't work no matter what street or pet I use: Sugar/Heidi/Chump Scotia or Sugar/Heidi/Chump Saratoga but my soap opera name cracked me up: Gertrude Northview. I sound kind of old and wealthy! Very funny stuff!

The only pets I had as a kid were fish so my sordid name would be Guppy Fairmont or Siamese Fighting Fairmont or Neon Fairmont. Kind of like the last one.
And Don't Forget Your Soap Opera Name!
Your Middle Name + Street that you live on now:
Mine would be "Lee Deerfield". Guess what? My spouse's name would be the same! We both have Lee as a middle name.
The name sounds like a banker in Pine Valley, don't you think?
What would your soap opera name be? Explain your character's motivation, too.

Carolyn Windflower, she sounds like a light-headed whispy lady to me.
