Cedric Brown (Colin Firth) is now a widower with seven ill-behaved children who've already chased away 17 nannies. But when a mysterious voice tells Cedric to hire Nanny McPhee (Emma Thompson), she arrives at the Brown home and the kids learn to behave properly. But when Great-Aunt Adelaide (Angela Lansbury) tells Cedric he must be married by the end of the month or she'll separate the children, he tries to find women, but the children run them away. And Nanny McPhee tells Simon (Thomas Sangster), the eldest, that he will face the consequences, so the kids go to Selma Quickly (Celia Imrie) and admit what they did and ask to give their father a second chance and they will be married. Will the kids really find the perfect woman for their father?

My Nanny McPhee

Founders of a picture about Nanny Mcphee and disobedient children have removed very touching and cheerful history bribing not by flights on broom, and magic of internal transformation which though and not so is effective, but remains in a shower much more, much longer. In fact the melancholy on the present fairy tale, kind, with dreams and hopes, with magic simple and disinterested - it is and always will be.
Victorian England, beautiful gardens in vast estates, milkman in the morning, relaxing in the interiors and costumes, Colin Firth version ... no, not Mr. Darcy, this time he is as convincing in the role of George Brown, an employee of the funeral agency and the father of seven children.
Yes, interiors to admit, become frayed, and all suits - deliberately fruit-drop coloring. But before us is not a fancy-dress melodrama, but a family fairy tale. And characters in a fantastic way are particoloured outside and eccentric inside, and actor's roles are unusual.
