Get iPod Nano 5th generation at a disount. The iPod Nano 16gb is a big step forward for Apple. While it kept the elegant design of the 4th generation, the 5th generation Nano fixes many of the flaws users uncovered in the previous version, and the addition of built-in FM radio, and a built-in video camera makes it not only cool, but useful as well. For the first time that I remember, Apple has produced a product that is loaded with features and reasonably priced. This is no longer just for die-hard Apple fans - the new Ipod Nano 16gb is an elegant and useful tool for everyone.

For those of you who own a business, iPod Nano is agreat tool. You can take pictures of whiteboard drawings and lists of tasks, you can record important parts of meetings and what everyone agreed to, and of course you can use the music to drown out the noise from others in the office. Get one today - it's fun too.

A really nice feature of the new Nano is the built-in FM radio receiver. In addition to listening to your favorite radio station, it has some really nifty capabilities. It has the ability to pause the broadcast reception, you can even rewind as far back as 15 minutes, listen again to something that you missed or didn't pay attention, then fast-forward to catch up to the live broadcast.
One click to pause, one click to resume. Easy.

Couple more 16gb nanos, as well as a few 8 gb - if money is tight, you can get the 8gb version - same features, just shorter play time.

New built-in camera.

Ok, the new camera built into the latest iPod Nano is not HD, and it will not rival Flip in low light conditions. But in regular light, it looks comparable - I could not detect any major differences.

Moreover, seems to me the picture is noticably less shaky then the Flip. This may be due to the weird positioning of the camera lens on the Nano - it's on the bottom, where you hold the iPod, not at the top. Many people consider this weird - yes it is, but it has the benefit of reducing the shaking of the picture - because the lense is at the point of support, and not some distance away from it. Why this reduces shaking - ask you friendly science geek for an explanation.

This is the reason why I think that Nano is actually a good deal - something rare for Apple products. You get a good camera for the same price as competition, with FM radio, mp3 player and a voice recorder thrown in for free.
IMPORTANT: even though the camera lens is flush with the ipod body, you would do well to get a protective cover to avoid scratching it.

You want to get one to protect the camera lens from scraching.

In the olden days, high power excutives and creative power players used to buy special
micro cassette recorders, so they could record their brilliant thought for posterity, or at least for a secretary to write down at a later time. Today, with iPod Nano voice recording you have the same ability - you can use the built-in mic to record memos to yourself, catch that fleeting flash of mental brilliance, or simply record a college lecture. The same interface, the same ease of transfer.
