As 2007 rounds up to a close, we still know little about the interesting rumor that an Apple Nano iPhone will see the light of day in the near future. Here are the rumors and tidbits of info that have made their way around rumor mills:
- Quanta, a Chinese manufacturer, states that it is commissioned to begin the manufacturing process of a new generation of the iPhone (May 2007)
- Rumors suggest that one of the influences of the Nano iPhone is to offer a lower-cost version of the original iPhone, preferably under $300 (July 2007)
- Apple, Inc. files a patent for a new iPhone design utilizing the traditional radial selector (July 2007)
- Multiple rumor mills suggest the release of a Nano iPhone in the fourth quarter of 2007 - [obviously, nothing became of it] (July 2007)
- Apple representatives "neither confirm nor deny" the possible release of a Nano iPhone (July 2007)
- J.P. Morgan analyst Kevin Chang researches Nano iPhone preliminary information, suggests that the Nano iPhone will not have an interactive touch screen (July 2007)

As usual - nothing short of an official Apple press release can be considered worth anyone's consideration. News about a Nano iPhone has dwindled since the summer of 2007.
