Napa Valley Wineries Too Many to List

There are so many Napa Valley wineries there are almost too many to count. It is impossible to visit all of them during one stay in the Napa Valley. Most hotels and inns in the area can help you plan a wine tasting tour.

Visit Napa Valley Wineries On Your Own or with a Tour Group?

It is also a good idea to appoint a designated driver or go on a tour in a van. It is important to drink responsibly in order to have an enjoyable and safe napa wine tasting tour.

Some Napa hotels have vans on site that take their guests on pre-planned tours. The hotel will take a group, for often less than $100 per person, to several various wineries that will include a box lunch. There is also limo wine tours taking their discriminating guests to boutique wineries with a gourmet lunch included.

Most Napa Valley wineries will also ship any of your purchases directly to your home. Your favorite bottles will be safely packed and insured. This makes it much easier for those traveling by plane to get their choice vintages safely home.

Reservations for Napa Valley Wineries Not Always Necessary

Many of the Napa Valley wineries require appointments or advance reservations. There are almost as many that accept walk-in wine tasters. A good suggestion would be to make an appointment with one special winery and then plan to stop in to two or three others that do not require reservations before or after.

When planning your wine tasting tour around the valley to the various Napa Valley wineries include at least one of the lesser known, out of the way vineyards. These are commonly family owned vineyards that will provide you with a down to earth experience. They usually produce their high quality vintages in limited quantities.

The Napa Valley has come a long way since its humble beginnings. In the old days the small vineyards offered visitors a taste of their latest vintage in their oak keg storage areas or dark cellar. Nowadays you drive onto a beautifully landscaped driveway and escorted into a private tasting room that has been exquisitely decorated.

It is really quite nice to see both types of vineyards. The ones offering award winning wines and ones where you can uncover some new and possibly undiscovered gem. You will want to return to Napa Valley often to enjoy the many great wines available and sit and relax in some of the most warm and inviting spaces in the world.
