What does the White Witch of Narnia Wear?



The White Witch of Narnia is a great costume to choose especially for a winter party. Here's how to get that Narnia witch look:

  • Dress: a white, silver or pale, ice blue dress is the perfect choice for your White Witch costume. The dress would normally be long and flowing.   • Cape/Stole: being the queen of all things cold, the White Witch normally wears a white fur cape around her shoulders. There are some really cute faux fur capes or even soft wool shrugs which would work wonderfully with your outfit. >> See White Capes

    Hair of the Narnian White Witch

    To recreate the actual White Witch's hair from 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' movie, you would need some long, dark blonde dreadlocks! When wearing her white dress, the witch had her dreadlocked hair either twisted to one side of her head or worn up and swept away from her pale face. In her battle dress, her hair was not dreadlocked but long and straight with the appearance and color of a lion's mane.

    An easier look is to opt for a long white or platinum blonde wig on top of which you could easily wear a crown or tiara.

    White Witch of Narnia's Wand

    This is an exact replica of the wand that the White Witch uses in the 2005 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe' movie. This particular wand is a collector's item and not really designed as a costume accessory. However, if you visit the product page and view the photos in close-up, you can get an idea of the sort of wand you'll need to carry off the White Witch of Narnia costume. It actually looks more like a silver and clear spear with a sharp arrow pointed tip at the end.

    Mr Tumnus is a loveable faun in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." A faun is half human on top and then has legs and hooves like that of a goat. Fauns have little horns on either side of their forehead and male fauns often sport little goatee beards on their chins.

    Aslan was the central figure of the Chronicles of Narnia books even though he did not feature as much as the Pevensie children did. He stood for everything that was good. Aslan is a realistic looking lion although he talks. So if you're looking for a lion costume to emulate Aslan, you need to pick something that looks more like a real lion.

    If you purchase a really good lion mask and perhaps even a costume tail, you could simply wear a brown top and leggings instead of opting to get a full lion's costume which can be on the pricey side at least for adult versions.
