Narrow Calf Boots ~ Riding Boots 2013
Narrow calf riding boots fit slim calves to a T
For 3 years I've been geeking out over narrow calf boots--sifting through the fine print on boot sizing and publishing results at Cute Boots for Skinny Calves in an attempt to help my slim-calved sisters find their dream boots.
How did it start? As a longtime boot fanatic and collector (we all have our vices), I was frustrated at the lack of consolidated info on styles for calf circumferences under 14 inches. The quest for narrow calf riding boots is especially tough, as many riding boots are cut wide for pull-on sans zipper. A 14 to 16 inch circumference works for average calves, but thin legs need 12 to 13.75 inch styles like these 20 fab finds.

From venerated riding labels (Frye, Ariat) to high-end luxury (Weitzman), there's a narrow shaft option for everyone.
ECCO Women's Saunter GTX Tall 3 Buckle Flat Boot,Cocoa Brown,39 EU/8-8.5 M US
13 inch circumference, plus buckles for further tightening
Stretch panels are the custom-fit key to styles like the Tennley, Umpa & 1201.
VANELi Women's Rian Riding Boot,Black Nappa/Black Stretch Suede,11 M US
13.25 inch circumference
To find calf size, wrap a cloth tape measure arouund the widest part of your calf, or use this paper one. Add 1/2" to 1" to your measurement for riding boot styles. (Gorgeousness won't mean much if you can't pull them on!)
To Boot is a new discovery for me. Known for old-school quality in men's footwear, they've expanded, happily, into some women's styles too.
Aquatalia by Marvin K. Women's Dewy Boot,Black Calf/Stretch Suede,8 B US
13 inch calf circumference
The Hobart Harness is an especially good pick for shorter women, or those with shorter legs, as it's got a shorter shaft than most of the other styles on this page. If you're taller, it will fit more like a cute midcalf boot.
Joan & David Zadarah Womens Size 5.5 Brown Leather Fashion Knee-High Boots
13.5 inch calf circumference

Wedge, mid heel & high heel styles along with narrow calf riding, rain & snow boots.

oole_tm Dec 28, 2012 @ 8:04 pm | deleteI am so excited! I just ordered two of those - will, of course, return the pair that I like less. Give a woman free return shipping, and she'll create a virtual dressing room :-) Thank you for the awesome blog post, it's been invaluable to me in my quest for that one perfect pair of riding boots. - Load More
