So Much More
More than just an Actress, than a wife and mother, more than being from a famous family and adored by and a good friend to many...she was a wonderful person and a humanitarian. Natasha Richardson left this world suddenly on March 18, 2009.. but the ways in which she touched people will stay with us for many years to come.
Natasha and husband Liam Neeson have for many years been involved in various charities and helped bring causes to the public eye. Notably Natasha has been a supporter and spokesperson for AIDS related causes for over 15 years.
I created this lens after reading something someone posted on a website..complaining about how there are starving people in the world and why should we care about the loss of a celebrity, that it should not get media attention.
I felt that sudden loss compared to world issues was a bit unfair, and in this care deserved a mention because this particular "celebrity" gave back and was respected by so many and for good reason.
This is my tribute to good person and a thank you for her Humanitarian work. I feel that she deserves a mention.

Help Find A Cure
In 1991, actress Natasha Richardson lost her father, British film director Tony Richardson, to the disease. She stated "I could never have imagined the horror he went through during the last weeks he was alive," she says now.
Toward the end, Natasha spent time with her father in the hospital, giving him bed baths and changing soiled sheets. "When someone has AIDS, it's so hard to watch the way that they're treated.
She honored her father by working with aids related causes and bring awareness to the public. She spent more than 15 years working for amFar (The Foundation for AIDS Research) and joined the organization's board of trustees in 2006. A cause, which she worked tirelessly for.
