Hey there, I'm Nathan Regener. My "rock and roll" name is Nathan Black. Honestly I just like being called "Mr. Black". Pleased to meet you. I've got a lot of aspects to my life. I don't believe that any one thing defines a person, but rather you can take a moment in time, a day's slice perhaps, and take a reasonable core sample.
Hopefully this lens will provide that for you.

How to stalk me in seven easy sites

- Last.fm tracks my listening habits through an iTunes plug in. Dig.

- My del.icio.us list of links. Check out my paper trail.
- What I'm keeping up with
- My shared RSS links.
- Who I know (roughly)
- Ugh. Myspace. I hate it, but everyone I'm remotely associated with is on there. Bastards. Myspace, not my friends.
- What I want
- My wish list, yo. Seriously, buy me shit. I actually use my Amazon wish list as a way to go shopping when I don't have any money. Soothes the ache.

Things I've done
Just a sampling
- Visited Moscow on a Tae Kwon Do exposition.
- Been told "That was the nicest I've ever been kicked out of a club. Thanks!"
- Drove a 29 foot U-Haul truck full of giant neon signs from Austin, TX to Rochester, NY in two and a half days.
- In the year 2000 worked both on one of the most critically acclaimed games one of the best selling games. Those were Deus Ex and Barbie Pet rescue. In that order, unfortunately.
- Been a mascot for Austin's first all girl flat track Rollerderby league.
- Started skateboarding at the tender age of thirty. Breaking both my nose and my left wrist in the process.
- Put a guy in the hospital using my mad video gaming skills. True story. We were playing Super Puzzle Fighter II (still the best puzzle game of all time) and I get a huge combo and I look over and he is on the floor having an epileptic seizure. Freaked me the hell out. He recovered and I swore to only use my gaming powers for good from that day forward.
- Hosted karaoke for a year at Beerland, TX. Karaoke for Monday night drunks. My hope every night was to take it from a bunch of random drunks massacring songs to a bunch of random drunks having a crazy party and singing along.
- (way incomplete, adding things as I think of them)
Books I reccomend
Bridge of Birds: A Novel of an Ancient China That Never Was
Simply put this is my favorite book. Beautiful and fanciful, it is a well painted tall tale.
The Hard Goodbye (Sin City, Book 1: Second Edition)
I want to be Marv when I grow up.
Book of Haikus (Poets, Penguin)
I'll admit it. I love Haiku. There is always one brewing in my head or heart. Yeah, take that, tough guy image.
The Music that fills my soul.
Rain Dogs
Tom Waits you bastard. Now I may never stop drinking burbon.
Undead at the Black Cat Lounge
This band changed my life. Seriously. Compeletey changed my life. Maybe you had to be there, and this CD is as close as it gets.
Danger Girl Burlesque Music
When I'm in a devious mood, this always fits the bill.
Knuckle Tattoos
All knuckle tattoos all the time
I collect pictures of people's knuckle tattoos and the stories behind them. I am totally fascinated by them. Here is a list of the last few I've posted:
