National Bubble Bath Day Is January 8th

A Day Devoted To Bubble Baths

I had no idea that January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day but it was a very pleasant surprise.

As far as the origin of this unofficial holiday, no one seems to know. I searched for quite a while with no results but maybe the person who came up with this idea must have been an adult who knows that we all need a day or evening to just relax. And what is more relaxing than soaking in a nice hot bath filled with bubbles? Or maybe Bubble Bath Day was a suggestion of a child who loves playing in the tub with his or her bath toys.

How Kids Can Enjoy Bubble Bath Day

How can kids kids celebrate this special day? By taking a bubble bath of course.

All you have to do is run them a nice warm bath full of bubbles. Then set them in the bathtub so that they can enjoy the water. And the bubbles.

And yes, if you have a curious cat, let them in the bathroom so that they can play with the foam as this day does not have to be just for humans and cats like bubbles too.

Rubber Duckie ~ You're The One

Probably almost everyone knows the rubber duckie song from Sesame Street. When I was a child, it was one of my favorite songs and I loved to see Ernie the puppet sitting in his bathtub full of bubbles, enjoying his bath time with his very special rubber duckie.

This is probably one of the most beloved toys to have in the tub. I had one and all of my kids each had one. It was so much fun to help duckie float through the bubbles.

Adults can celebrate National Bubble Bath Day in the evening by turning the lights down low and lighting some candles. Relaxing by listening to music or reading a good book in the tub is nice too.
