About National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day

Let me check your IQ: What are American people supposed to do on the 3rd of January, National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day? If you said something about eating Chocolate Covered Cherries, you have a very sharp common sense!

When and how this day became a holiday? Someone told me it was for a memory of an English king's mother-in-law, who died after chocking on this yummy dessert. I did not believe that story, but for the sake of being faithful I am mentioning it as a warning to all chocolate lovers.
