National Doughnut Day (National Donut Day)
National Doughnut Day (National Donut Day) is always on the First Friday in June each year. It was started back in the 30's when in honor of the Salvation Army who served Donuts to the Military during WWI. They would serve fried donuts as a way of helping with moral. Later this holiday became a way of helping the needy.
All I know is Donuts are a hit here in the US. I love Donuts, but I don't eat them often but when I do, I love them in all sorts of ways. I love cake donuts and raised doughnuts but my favorite are Barbarian cream filled donuts. Yummy. You can buy donuts at various shops but the best are the ones that are made fresh from home.
