National Sports Center

Boasting 52 soccer fields, the National Sports Center plays host to several youth soccer tournaments throughout the season. Perhaps the most well known tournament that is hosted here is the Schwans USA Cup. Teams from around the world compete against each other in a festival like atmosphere.

Coming up in 2011, the National Sports Center will also host The Walmart All American Cup, the NSC Spring Cup and the NSC Cup.

When not in use for soccer, the fields are home to rugby, lacrosse and ultimate disc.

According to their website, the National Sports Center is recognized as the world's largest soccer complex by the Guinness Book of Records. The entire complex really is something to check out!

Victory Links at the National Sports Center is truly a one of a kind place for golf. Built specifically for youth golfers and families, Victory Links has 6 tee boxes per hole to accommodate golfers of all abilities.

Victory Links also hosts youth golf lessons and leagues to help develop a life long hobby. In addition to the actual mechanics of the game of golf, the young players also focus on things like etiquette to help round out their experience.

Not to be outdone by the youth soccer fields, the Schwan Super Rink hosts 8 sheets of ice under one roof. In addition to the ice, huge locker areas and a cafe, the Schwan Super Rink is also home to the Herb Brooks Training Center. Focusing on dry land hockey skills, the training center was added to the Super Rink in 2006. Also housed in the same building is a 6,200 square foot dance and fitness studio. The studio serves as a home base for the skating school and home to the Northern Blades National Sports Center Figure Skating Club.

Even though the building is constantly in use by schools, figure skating clubs and tournaments, the Schwan Super Rink continues to host open skating and even birthday parties.

When it was built in 1990, the Velodrome was host to the Olympic Festival track racing events and National Championships. According to their website the Velodrome is the only wooden, outdoor velodrome in the western hemisphere.

If you want to learn to ride and race, this is the place. The Velodrome offers introductory classes for beginners, in addition to hosting several world class cycling events.
