History of National Express
National Express is a national coach service in the UK, they operate long distance bus and coach services.
After the Transport Act 1968, the National Bus Company (NBC) was formed, and several local bus companies were nationalized. Many of these bus companies also operate bus services and have been marketed as the International Express from 1972 (the actual shuttle bus service will continue to work for each company).

In 2001, the National Express has decided to end the historic flight steward / ess service. Phil White, MD, told them when he felt that the old company and the passengers do not need them. [Citation needed]
For most conditions, the National Express Coach class with little or no competition in the market for long distance buses. A number of operators have tried to compete with the company after deregulation in 1980, the largest British Coachways consortium, but most had to compete with the end of the decade. [4] However, in 2003, Stagecoach Group introduced the "no frills" service, Megabus, a £ 1 fare price war triggered by the National Express in the autumn of 2004. The increased competition in 2007, when the Megabus from London terminus of the Green Line Coach Station Main bus terminal in Victoria.
In 2007-2008, as part of the restructuring of the group wide rebranding of railway operations group labeled "National Express" and a fleet of buses transported a slightly different, while the red white and blue theme, but the adoption of new low, if the logo, said coaches appear new paintings in December 2007.

Many routes coach "National Express" pass through the downtown areas of many, increasing journey times for long journeys considerably. A smaller number of shuttle services operate at least once an hour during fast direct links. Shuttle services operate on the following routes:

The Bristol 040 - London Shuttle continues to Burnham-on-Sea twice a day in each direction, usually early in the morning in London and later in the evening to leave, while maintaining its brand image NXL Shuttle. It works with Irizar PB / Scania K124 coaches.
420 The London - Birmingham service is operated directly by National Express from Birmingham bus station. However in 2007, as well as other services operated by Birmingham based West Midlands and Travel Go West Midlands, they were out to Veolia franchisees, due to lack of space available at the station in Birmingham, temporary coach.

The Airport brand was created in 2003 when the National Express image brand was updated - it merged the former Airlink, Flightlink, Jetlink and Speedlink brands, which were confusing, especially to passengers travelling between Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
Most coaches on these services operate with the National Express Airport brand, the airport being in white inside a red box below the 'National Express' name on the side of the coach.
Vehicles on services 777 and 210 operate in standard National Express branding as these services are now operated by Veolia, and use the same pool of coaches of that operators services based in Birmingham (namely the 325, 420 and 545).
