National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

Clark: (To Eddie) Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Eddie: If that cat had nine lives it sure used 'em all.

Uncle Lewis: (To Aunt Bethany) You couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant.

Clark: Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny ******* Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white *** down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of ******** this side of the nuthouse.

Clark: Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, ****less, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

Chevy (Clark Griswold) went on to reprise his role as Clark Griswold in Vegas Vacation. Since then, he's made appearances in "Law & Order" and provided voices for a number of animated characters including a guest appearance on the animated series, "Family Guy" where he once again took on the role of "Clark Griswold."

Since appearing as "Ellen Griswold" in "Christmas Vacation," Beverly has reprised her role as Ellen in both "Vegas Vacation" and an episode of "Family Guy." She has also appeared in numerous episodes of the hit series, "Entourage" and an episode of "Law & Order: SVU."

Juliette Lewis has had quite a busy career and life since playing "Audrey" in "Christmas Vacation." Starring in a number of popular films and television series, she has also taken on the role of grrl rocker. Juliette's latest appearances include the film "Catch and Release" and a cameo on "My Name Is Earl."

Johnny Galecki is probably best known for his time spent on the sitcom, "Roseanne" as "David Healy." You can currently see him on the CBS series, "The Big Bang Theory."

Randy Quaid has had quite the career as a character actor in numerous films and television series. Most recently, Randy appeared as "Colonel Tom Parker" in the CBS series based on the life of Elvis Presley and also in the critically acclaimed "Brokeback Mountain." Like others, he has reprised his role as "Cousin Eddie" several times including the made-for-TV, "Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure." No one is sure what caused such an event to occur.

Since "Christmas Vacation," Miriam Flynn has appeared in oodles of television series including "Grey's Anatomy," "Las Vegas" and even "The Young and the Restless." Also, like many of her "Christmas Vacation" alumni, she too has made a voice-over appearance on "Family Guy."

Doris Roberts became best known after "Christmas Vacation" for her role as "Marie Barone" in "Everybody Loves Raymond." Other than that, she has appeared in a number of other television series including "Lizzie McGuire" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

E.G. Marshall passed away in 1998. After "Christmas Vacation," he appeared in a number of films and television series including a recurring role on "Chicago Hope" as well as the films, "Absolute Power" and "Nixon."

Since "Christmas Vacation," Diane Ladd has made a name for herself as a character actress appearing in cameo roles in television series such as "Cold Case" and "E.R." She also appeared in a recurring role on the CBS series, "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman."

John Randolph passed away in 2004. After appearing in "Christmas Vacation" as Clark's father, he also made appearances on "E.R." and "Roseanne" as Roseanne and Jackie's father, Al Harris. John also appeared in the Nora Ephron film, "You've Got Mail."

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" was Mae Questal's final film. Remembered fondly as "Aunt Bethany," it is still perhaps the role in which she never actually "appeared" that left the greatest impression. As the original voice of "Betty Boop," Mae spent many years voicing the original diva. Shortly before "Christmas Vacation," she once again voiced the character in the film, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"
