I'm happy to have found this site. I feel quite at home. I've been in the process of spiritual evolution through many lives. However, I feel this one maybe my graduation. As you all may know, a shift in consciousness will take place soon. I hope when the time comes, That most if not all of humanity will be ready for this transition. Love and light always!

Wow, this is incredible. Good to see a purple star on this one Eva. I do believe that there are forces that we cannot detect with our limited 5 senses. Some animals and those closer to nature (I feel) are 'tuned' into these energies (or spirits).

The spirits good or bad do influence in some way and there are more instances of the experience if one is close to the nature like the Native American Indians.

Like you, I have always felt closest to nature. As a child, I could sit up in a tree for hours. I am still drawn to trees and I find my fulfillment in nature. As one who is spiritual, I am learning, more and more, to listen and to be open to all that is guiding me. Thank you for teaching me more about Native American spirit guides. Appreciated!

Very unexpected but super well done lens. I had no idea about a lot of these spiritual animals and will start to think about theses ideals along with my study of eastern philosophical and religious points of view. Energy seems to be the center tool, our vibrations, our cosmic music. Thanks for the hard work!

When I was little I was a very unhappy little kid but it comforted me to believe I was a native american that I had been taken to live in Scotland! I wrote a lens on that - nothing as fantastic as yours. Thank you.

    Very nice my Brother:

Spirit Guides have always been within the Traditions and Cultures of the Native American Indian Nation. Part of Medicine Traditions!

Many Native American stories are based on the animals that talked? Which are the Spirit Guide animals still To-Day.

    Blessings......Annlee

Another superb lens :) I have long been interested in spirit guides and totems. A distant aunt had a Native American spirit guide, we are not related by blood but I have always felt drawn to her despite her passing before I was born, she used to go into trances and speak fluent French! I was delighted when the picture of her spirit guide was passed down to me after my grandmother died, I now like to think he watches over us too. Blessed by the Pagan SquidAngel!

Dear WhiteOak, How can I get to know or see my spirit guide and angels.
I have one spirit guide that I know of, she is a powerful native american Elder woman,
perhaps and Grand Mother. Do you know, through myths or legends of the Native
American culture of any such female guide? Thank you.

Well, you do not your contact button on so I could not send this in a private message. I have met several of my guides different ways, either through Journeying or deep meditation. There is a wonderful book called: Buffalo Woman Comes Singing by: Brooke Medicine Eagle. She is a Lakota Medicine Woman and offers a lot of different ceremonies and techiniques to help with many things. I believe this book would be a great start for you to teach you how to connect with your guides.

This is a wonderful lens, ever since I was a child, I would dream of being in the valley of a think forest moutain surrounded by trees above me, covered in snow. As I sit at the foot of the valley, many wolves begin to appear from within the woods. This dream has been a continuing dream I've had for many years. I know that alot of it has to do with my ancestry, which is deep rooted in Mexico's Aztec and Toltec civilizations. When I first heard Wolf Moon from Type O Negative, it made me cry, Because it triggered all those dreams of wolves in the snow.. love it!!
  • WhiteOak50 Aug 14, 2010 @ 6:52 am | delete
That is wonderful Cyn. I also get the feeling that Wolf may be one of your Animal Totems. You just have that energy around you... make sense?

  • Della Jun 26, 2010 @ 9:42 pm | delete
I have been practicing gratitude and joy every morning in a walking meditation for close to two years now. This has so changed me for the good. This week I find myself perched on the scariest, most life changing financial precipice I could imagine that threatens to take apart the life i've slowly, appreciatively and carefully built for myself and my children since becoming divorced 4 years ago. I am practicing "oh well, something good comes from everything," to be able to handle the loss and change without becoming overly dramatic for myself and my children. To be ready and able to let go. Three days in a row I have seen a garter snake. First, curled in the tippy top of a bush in a client's yard, to be sure i would see him his head was straining up to look at me. Then, on the dirt path at my feet while walking with a friend. today, not far from the first siting's bush, as i was looking down into the garden by the side of the client's house, the snake came sneaking up the side of the house right where i was looking into the garden. What message does the garter snake have for me? Della
  • WhiteOak50 Jun 27, 2010 @ 6:06 am | delete
Della, the second I read your message, I kept hearing "New Beginnings". The snake itself symbolizes Rebirth, Resurrection, Initiation and Wisdom. Snakes are symbols of change and healing. Because snake sheds its skin, it symbolizes death and rebirth. Before a snake sheds their skin, their eyes become clouded over and as the skin sheds and the eyes clear, it appears as if they are looking at the world in a whole new aspect. This is exactly the kind of the experience you are going through. Please always remember (and I am speaking from experience here) although the beginning of the journey may appear scary and frightening to you, the most important thing to remember is you are taking the first step on this new journey. Sending you many blessings!!
  • Della Jun 27, 2010 @ 2:42 pm | delete
thank you. i like, have always embraced and sought out, new beginnings as long as i'm not uprooted (taurus). this time, i most likely will be uprooted. it's hard to think about, to put into context. there is so much i need to be doing, but i feel clouded over myself, like my brain can't engage it's gears. i need to get moving, get important things done before the situation becomes worse due to my own inertia. but it's as if MY eyes are clouded over. been like this for each of the days i've seen the snake. walking in a completely different area, again today i saw a garter snake on my path. that makes four days in a row. yikes. bright yellow vertical stripes against black and a very perky little snake, always in motion each time i see it, except the first time when it was coiled in the top of the bush.
  • WhiteOak50 Jun 27, 2010 @ 3:54 pm | delete
(smiles) I have a taurus moon so I can understand alittle about the uprooting, although my Aquarius kicks in and says, oh boy a NEW adventure! The Divine is just giving you all kinds of messages. The color yellow means clarity and black absorbs negativity. This is a very important time for you, if you get a chance you may want to thank the Divine for all of the messages being sent. Gratitude is something that makes the Universe smile. You know Della, sometimes although there is many things we should be doing, sometimes it is good just to sit against a tree and relax. This may help with your journey ahead. Please keep in touch!!

I have a question and I'm not sure if anyone here is able to help me. I took a random shot a couple of weeks ago on my phone camera of a car number plate and was showing a friend of mine who noticed a face at the bottom of the picture. It appears to be a native american.. I was wondering if anyone could identify, verify or help me out by taking a look at this? I am curious as to why this spirit has appeared if that's actually what it is!?

This is just beautifully written! You inspire me so much, lady! Now I must go over to your blog and read more about your Native American Spirit Guides and then on to your Naming Ceremony.

Im 13 years young and my dad has been telling me about spirit guides and spirit helpers. He has also been telling me about the old souls of montana and the spirits hat havent crossed over yet. He hasnt found his spirit helper yet but he hopes to go soon. When he was a kid growing up in montata people came back from getting their spirit helper and saying it wa s the scariest thing they have ever done. He was telling me that the evil spirits will tryy to come and take your soul but you have to stay in a circle that is maed with the medicine you are given to keep you safe. I would love to find my spirit helper but this seems so scary. In order to find it you have to go up to the highest ridge you can find sit in a circle made of rocks all night all by yourself and your spirit helper will be keeping you safe all night. In the morning if you satyed your spirit helper will come right up to you. You cannot tell anyone your spirit helper or you cannot tell anyone what has happened that night only the person that has helped you and told you what to do. They will then decipher (?) it and then they will go down and the tribe will have a feast and tell everyone of your night. This would be a great experience but i would be nervous to do it if i ever get the chance. I dont know if this is how anyother tribes to it but this is how my tribe has it done. Also my tribe is the Assinaboine Sioux from Montana.

Thank you for your comment Rayanna. It was so nice for you to visit this lens. I agree that a vision quest can be a little scary. Many times we create our own fear and that makes it even scarier. I agree with your dad, sometimes spirit beings will try to play tricks. But with a person being in a "sacred space" (an enclosed circle) shielded from other influences- through the fear and the experience we can also learn about the "warrior" part of our self. There are always so many answers to the same questions, so of course this is only my opinion. That is why I always suggest that everybody follows their heart and spirit.

Our Spirit Guides are forces that are with us and have been with us for our whole life to help us, protect us and to teach us. To meet, to communicate or to learn from your spirit guide you must of course form a bond with them. I believe that bond if formed from trusting in your higher power and your intuition. There is also the trickester and they will try to fool you and play tricks on you. That is when we are really tested in our beliefs. Have a beautiful day Rayanna, and if I could give you one piece of strong advice, it would be to sit and listen to the "Elders" of your Tribe. There you will find many answers just by listening to their stories.

Rayanna, I am so glad to hear from you again! Oh, you will make a fantastic Fancy Dancer!! How exciting-when you will begin your outfit/ragalia? You are a very unique person, I have been told by a few different Elders, that today many of the traditions are fading because the younger generation do not care like they once did about the "Old" way. I was like you as child, its not that I did not like hanging with the children, my interest were more with talking with older people and learning their stories. So you enjoying listening to the "stories" is a very fantastic wonderful thing. It is through you that the words will live on in your tribe. Tradition is a wonderful thing, very sacred. Keep well, and I look forward to hearing more about your Fancy Dancing!

I am excited to become a fancy dancer one of my nieces (im there great aunt so im not sure what it would make them lol) has actually wanted to get a facebook so in order to do that they have to make a present for someone and she chose me im so excited so that is how fancy dancing has/will come into my life. Yes it is unfortunate that we are losing our cultures in the younger generations in my town all the the native americans are "gangsters" so they dont care about their culture to much it seems but i do really enjoy learning about my parents lifes and cultures (my mother is swedish and polish. my grandpa moved here from sweden and and my great grandma moved here form poland) To me it would be an honor to carry on the traditions of my culture even though the other people my age most likely wont. talk to you soon.

Hi Rayanna, Well that is excellant about FaceBook, because you will be able to post your accomplishments with fancy dancing on there too. I have always admired the "fancy dancers" because when they dance, it is like they flow with the winds. Such beautiful movements. I have always been drawn to the Jiggle Dancers. I suppose I love how they make their outfit/ragelia? I am so excited for you and cannot wait to see your outfit. I just know you are going to be wonderful!! Have you thought about the colors you will wear?

Well, as long as there are people like you Rayanna, traditions will remain alive and flowing. Always be true to who you ARE, and always walk your path according to your own spirit!! Talk soon..

As I am reading this lens, I feel a comforting glow spreading through me. It is truly beautiful.

I have often wondered who my Spirit Guides are. I know one of them is my Grandmother, who my spiritual friend would see standing next to me but I have no idea what the others may be. I love to be by water, so perhaps an aquatic animal? But I also have a huge emotional affinity with horses. Who knows? Maybe I should get one of the books you recommend!

Thank you for making this lovely lens.

Aj, that is the beauty of our Guides. We all have so many and each time we need "their medicine" they make their self known to us." I have a strong connection with horses and dolphins both. But neither of them have presented their self to me as my totem. Maybe one day. Until that time, I will just remain honoring them. Thank you for your wonderful sharing.
