Do You Really Want To Make It Youself?
There are a couple of reasons why you want to make your own beauty products... but the question is, do you REALLY want it?
Before you go on reading, realize that it takes time. In gact, the purpose of the skin industry is not providing you with qulity products. (like they want you to think) Their purpose to save you time. A bottle of cleanser you buy has a shelf life of 2-3 YEARS, when in actual fact, a natural mixture of hebs can last 2 days... refrigerated. Sure you can add some natural ingredients to prolong its life but it will still last only 3 months tops.
If you don't mind having chemicals on your skin and using lower quality beauty products (even if you spend $500 for it) to save you time, then please don't make it yourselves. If over-the-counter product works fine for you (it doesn't for me), then go on and buy them.
As for you people who think otherwose, let's get to the fun part!
Now You Too Can Make Your Very Own Organic Spa Products
Some Reasons Why You Want To Make Your Own Beauty Products
Here are some reason why.Did you realize your beauty products says "all natural" but yet doesn't expire for the next 2 years? An all natural crushed herb last for 2 days. Intuitively, you would know that it is as "all natural" as the claimed it to be. All commercially available products contain synthetic preservative to prolong their shelf life. The longer it can last, the more the companies can sell. These synthetic preservative curbs bacterias that can cause many skin problems to grow (thus prolonging shelf life) but it is by itself a poison. Don't believe me? Try putting a PURE synthetic preservative on your skin and see what happens. Or you can try eat your cleanser. Laws are different in different countries, but generally they all it's OK for a bit of poison to be added to your cream/food/drinks. The reason is simple: companies can sell more. No preservatives = no food/pharmaceuticals companies. Everyone has to go 100 years ago where everything is fresh. That's BAD. It can seriously hit the economy! Of course, nothing is that simple. Bottom line is, products you buy in the supermarket is poisonous.
Everything you put on your skin eventually goes into your body. Notice how your moisturizer disappears? Do you want to spray insecticide on your skin?
The next reason is the obvious reason. It is expensive for something that is not working! It is expensive for something that is poisonous!
The last reason is that commercially available products are not customizable. Your skin is unique to you. How many times have you saw an advertisement that says your skin is unique but yet offers a common solution? To customize your beauty products to your own needs, you can make them yourselves.
it is not as difficult as you would think it is. It is not as difficult as they want you to think. "Advance formula concocted by our award-winning scientists in our award-winning lab using our award-winning patented ingredients with out award-winning equipments." That's a lot of bull.
1. Whatever they make is not made just for you.
2. Patented = man made = not natural = bad for you.
3. Award-winning, lab, scientists = not natural = bad
How To Make Your Own Beauty Products
I don't want to limit your creativity here so I'm just going to give you a general idea of how to do it. Remember practice makes perfect. You can virtually anything beneficial to you. Strawberries, bananas, apple, all kinds of vegetables etc.1.Make a perfect facial scrub from grapes. Mash a handful of grapes. Strain them to separate the pulp from the juice. Remove the skins and mash the pulp and juice with 1 tablespoon of almond flour.
2.Make a facial mask with honey and bananas. Make sure the bananas are not overripe. Mash 1 banana with 3 tbs. honey.
3.For a skin softening bath, add 1/4 cup honey to the water.
4.Apples and pears are mild astringents. Make a quick mask by grating a large apple or pear and mixing it with 1 tbs. of honey.
5.Use aloe vera gel as an astringent for oily skin. Aloe vera gel is also great for thickening hair. Massage it into your scalp then leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing. Mix it with glitter for sparkly, softening body gel.
6.Add a tsp. of baking soda to your shampoo. It helps remove hair-product buildup. Baking soda can also loosen blackheads. Combine equal parts soda and water and rub the mixture into your skin, let sit until dry, then rinse.
7.Mix 1 tbs. sugar with a few drops of olive oil for a sweet facial exfoliant. This can be mixed in larger quantities for full body exfoliation.
8.Moisturizing exfoliant -
1.In an air-tight jar, mix together half cup of brown sugar, half cup of the table salts, half cup rough sea salt and one cup of coffee granules (have been soaked in hot water.)
2.Add in the olive oil or almond oil or avocado oil to give it a squishy texture.
3.Rub all over skin in shower, rinse off. It is quite oily, so don't be alarmed.
4.Pat skin dry with a towel and get into your jammies.
5.Wake up to deeply nourished, babysoft, smooth skin.
Do not use this on your face.

A tale of beauty
What is beautiful changes over time and place. Most white people live in the western world, so in that area on the globe, tanned skin is promoted. A tan that most Asian people naturally have. But in Asia and the Middle East where people have this desired darker complexion, a white skin is promoted. The beauty industry cannot make money by telling you your skin looks fine already. So in the west, they tell you to buy bronzing cream and in the east, the same company tells you to buy whitening cream. It is the ultimate example of the beauty industry's sales tactics. They don't really care if you're beautiful as long as you buy their products. Don't believe their riduculous commercials!
