You can also take a walk down Cedar Creek trail where you will find a Native American Village, The Lost River, Cedar Creek and Lace Falls.

Don't forget to visit the Natural Bridge Caverns, Natural Bridge Wax Museum, and end your day with the Drama of Creation, an outdoor light show set to symphonic music illuminating the Natural Bridge after dark.

My Visit to Natural Bridge Virginia

In August 2009, my mom, two of my daughters and I decided to take an overnight trip to Natural Bridge, Virginia. It is about 3 hours away from our hometown of Williamsburg. We packed up the car with a picnic lunch and our overnight gear for a quick and exciting adventure!

Here you will find my photos of our trip and information, as well as maps, weather, and links to Natural Bridge, Virginia.

As you continue down the Cedar Creek Trail, you will find beautiful wild flowers along the creek's edge. My girls enjoyed hopping among the many stones in the creek for some quick fun! You will also pass by a cave used by Civil War soldiers and The Lost River.

Natural Bridge Caverns

Visit The Natural Bridge Caverns, the deepest caverns in Virginia. They descend 34 stories beneath the surface and are open March through November. They are closed during the winter months because the local bat population makes their home there. The caverns stay a constant 54 degrees so make sure you bring a jacket or a sweater and wear walking shoes as it can be very slippery inside the caverns.

While we were in Natural Bridge we stayed at the KOA Campground in a little one room cabin. My girls thought this was a fun adventure and they enjoyed a little time at the pool in the afternoon. I had never stayed in a one room cabin before but I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and amenities the campground had to offer.
