Natural Cellulite Treatments: Fight Cellulite Naturally!

Hi! I'm Abbie Cheung and welcome to my new lens. I am a wellness nut and enjoy studying diet, health, exercise, Eastern medicine, holistic remedies, and women's health.

Even though cellulite can occur in men, the way women's biology is made up it is more prominent in women and also a common "ailment" which women aim to fix.

Cellulite is a type of fat, so fighting cellulite and fighting fat go hand in hand. So this lens will be about cellulite awareness as well as health and well being and exercise! And also non-surgial and non-intrusive ways to help fight cellulite specifically.

That's the intro to this lens. Enjoy!

What IS Cellulite? What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite CelCellulite refers to the fat stored on specific parts of the body, especially the abdomen. It looks like orange peel or cottage cheese under the skin. Cellulite is a fat tissue that appears below the skin's surface. People do not need to be overweight to have cellulite. In fact, even thin people can have some on their buttocks, breasts, thighs, and abdomens.

Cellulite is caused by various factors, the most common of which we will discuss here.

One major factor is genetics.

According to studies, a woman whose parent or other relative has had cellulite will very likely also have cellulite. This was true is almost 85% of cases.

In addition to genetics, simply not leading a healthy lifestyle will contribute to cellulite.

Not being healthy besides being taxing on your body also contributes to cellulite. This includes lack of exercise (both cardiovascular and resistance training), too much alcohol, caffeine, and unhealthy food, and not enough water. Besides being healthy, this will flush toxins out of your body. Toxins that stay in the body contribute to cellulite.

Lastly, few people know that smoking is one of the causes of cellulite formation.

It weakens the skin by constricting the capillaries and harming the connective tissue. As a result, the skin develops cellulite. So besides smoking being bad for your health, it will also be a cause of cellulite production.

So as we talk about the natural way to treat cellulite, we mean with a healthy diet, consistent exercise, and drinking lots of water.

Non-Invasive Treatments And Ideas For Cellulite Sufferers

Here Are The Basics!

Visualize That Cellulite Gone! When fat gets caught between bands of connective tissues just under the skin's surface, cellulite forms. This fat gives skin the bumps and ridges that cellulite is notorious for.

It's possible to get rid of cellulite though it can be difficult. You can create your own cellulite reduction program, and if you stick with it week after week, you should see improvement.

It can be hard to stay with a program, but it is a good idea to have one because it sets out a clear and organized plan of action. Having a program is much more effective than trying tips here and there. Here are four things to implement in a cellulite reduction program.

1. Get cardiovascular exercise.

Cardiovascular exercise gets your heart pumping and is good for your overall health as well. It helps burn fat and improve circulation, and both of these things reduce cellulite. Aim for two sessions a day, each ten minutes long, first twice a week and then more. You'll know you're pushing yourself hard enough when you can still have a conversation but don't have enough breath to sing. Each week, do as much cardio as you can.

2. Improve your diet.
Start small by finding one high-calorie food you'll substitute or cut out altogether. For example, have diet soda or water instead of soda, no-calorie butter spray instead of butter, mustard and nonfat mayo instead of regular mayonnaise, or carrot sticks instead of potato chips. This one change will make a difference, and you can start to substitute more foods as you go.

3. Use your head.
Visualization techniques are surprisingly effective at helping people reach their goals. Visualizing your smooth cellulite-free body is no exception. Focus on the picture by making sure you're relaxed. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Or if you prefer, visualize the steps of your cellulite reduction program. Clearly see yourself doing the cardio and eating well, and you are more likely to stick with your plan, which will lead to reduced cellulite.

If you stay with your program diligently and regularly, you should see a marked improvement in the appearance of your cellulite-affected areas.

Modern Day Treatments Specifically For Cellulite

It's not just the fat ...

Velasmooth Cellulite TreatmentReducing fat is one thing. Specifically treating cellulite cels (the "orange peel") look is another factor when wanting to get rid of cellulite.

Very briefly, keeping your budget in mind your budget, explore some of the various external treatment options. I won't go into detail yet but keep your eyes and ears open for these non-invasive and non surgical treatments:

Endermologie
Topical Treatments
Massage
Velasmooth
Cellulite Creams

Relatively new, Velasmooth is the first cellulite reduction treatment to be approved by the FDA.

Now you will hear a lot of people say that "natural" treatments don't work because it's all about losing fat which means good old fashioned diet and exercise. However you also want to remember that cellulite is a specific type of fat cel. So there may be ways to change the look of the fat cel. You won't necessarily lose fat, but you could possibly get rid of the bumpiness.

Fighting cellulite is definitely an evolving technology and some treatments will work and some won't, and it will vary from person to person depending on lifestyle and genetics. I'll be studying these all in some detail as I develop this lens.

Thanks!
