Gout Treatment

Gout is known as the disease of kings, mainly because if you eat to much rich food and game and drink beer you are likely to have gout.

Oh how times have changed!

Gout treatment

gout has always been a disease that made people snigger, I mean the last person to get it was Henry the 8th wasn't it?
Gout is associated with Kings and people who eat to much rich food and drink far to much.

The reason that Gout was a disease of Kings is because they lived on a diet of game meat and beer, both of which are extremely bad for gout.

Game meat is very high in something called purines.
Purines break down in your system and become uric acid, uric acid (unless it is flushed out of your system) congregates around your joints and crystallizes.
It is the uric acid crystals causes the agony that is Gout.

So now you have some idea of what causes gout , what treatments are there available for people who suffer with gout?

The best Gout Treatment is one that you are in total control of, Your diet!

If you can learn to eat foods that are low in anything that may create uric acid in your body then you will go a long way to stopping your gout attacks.
