When choosing fruits it is always best to choose fresh fruit as opposed to processed or canned fruits. Processed and canned fruits do not contain as much fiber as fresh fruit. Part of the reason that fresh fruit has more fiber than processed and canned fruit, is that fresh fruit still has its skin, which is where most of the fiber of the fruit is contained. Processed and canned fruits are almost always sweetened with extra sugars.
Try to increase your daily fiber intake. The body needs a lot of fiber. The average adult will need about 25-30 grams of fiber per day. Simply include as many fruits and veggies in your diet as you can. Again fruits and vegetables are loaded with fiber.
Try to eat vegetables at almost every meal. Vegetables are some of the best foods to eat when trying to lose weight. Make sure that you eat a wide variety of vegetables. Include as many green leafy vegetables as possible. Try to eat a salad twice a day for lunch and dinner at least.
Try to think intelligently about what you are feeding your body. Try not eat simply because you are hungry. Eat with the purpose of fueling your body with the vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and fibers that your body needs to survive and function at peak performance.
