Natural Flea and Tick Control

If you are looking for a natural way to fight fleas, here are some ideas.

~ Don't wait. At the first sign of a flea, treat your pet, the bedding and the carpets. One flea on your pet means there is potentially 30 more in your home.
~ Use a flea comb. This is tedious and boring, but it is effective in fighting a flea problem.
~ Soapy water does great to get rid of fleas. Bathe your dog. Some swear by the effectiveness of Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Just let it sit (the soap) on your dog for a few minutes before rinsing.
~ Vacuum daily or twice daily. Get rid of the bag each time. Get those fleas out of the house!
~ You can use a light that attracts fleas to a sticky area. This will help to reduce the problem, but not take care of it completely.
