- About Naturegirl7
Who is Naturally Native?
We are, Yvonne and Al!
aka naturegirl7 and we are nature lovers to the max.

1958 - Yvonne (middle), Sister & Brother 1957 - Al (right), a Buddy & Brothers
Both Al and I were born in Louisiana. He was born in the southern part of the state, in New Orleans, and I was born in the northern part, near Shreveport, but I have family roots in New Orleans. We are both of mostly French extraction, with some Italian, Irish and English thrown in.
Currently:
- We have a little piece of heaven, down here in Southeastern Louisiana on the Tchefuncte River.
- All of our 3 cats and 2 dogs are rescued animals and we also have three 20 year old Cockatiels that we hand raised.
- We also love to garden and are Master Gardeners.
- As officers in the Folsom Native Plant Society, we work to protect and preserve native plants and habitats and to keep St. Tammany Parish as wild and beautiful as it once was.
- We are both retired and I am a retired teacher / librarian.
- We have many hobbies and interests, as you can see by our lenses, and most of them are related to nature and the outdoors.
- We both love to photograph nature and animals and I love to paint and draw, do crafts, cook, sew and do various needle work projects.
Well, enough about us and on to our lenses.
